Peter Wilson (25 November 1904 – 13 February 1983) Record of pre-war Scottish League Players John Litster / Scottish Football Historian magazine, October 2012 was a Scottish football player and manager. Born in Beith in Cunninghame ( North Ayrshire), Wilson played for Celtic, Hibernian and the Scotland national football team. With Celtic he won four Scottish Cup medals in 1925, 1927, 1931 and 1933 and one Scottish league medal in 1933. A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders. As central midfielders often go across boundaries, with mobility and passing ability, they are often referred to as deep-lying midfielders, play-makers, box-to-box midfielders, or holding midfielders.
