Peter Nelson (26 April 1931 – 2 February 1977) was an Australian Olympic road bicycle racing, road and track cyclist, track cyclist. He was South Australian state champion in 1950 for the 15, 25 and 50-mile events, and again in 1953 for the 50-mile events. He attended the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki as part of the Australian road cycling team in the 190 km event and in the track team for the 4000 m team pursuit. Biography Peter Nelson was born on 26 April 1931 in Black Forest, South Australia, the son of wheelwright and automotive manufacturing engineer Frederick Nelson, and his wife Winifred (née Mostyn). Nelson is an American Artificial Intelligence researcher and Computer Science professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and as of 2008 he has been the Dean of the College of Engineering. Prior to assuming his deanship, he was head of the UIC Department of Computer Science. Peter John Horatio Nelson, 9th Earl Nelson (9 October 1941 – 28 March 2009), was a British police officer and peer. He was the oldest son of Captain John Nelson, and grandson of Edward Nelson, 5th Earl Nelson. He inherited the title in 1981 on the death of his uncle, George Nelson, 8th Earl Nelson, George Nelson. Lord Nelson was born at Sherborne in Dorset and was brought up in Norwich on his father's poultry farm and in Norfolk. He was educated at St Joseph's College, Ipswich. He was an apprentice in the Royal Air Force, RAF and in agricultural college. He later joined the Metropolitan Police serving as a Criminal Investigation Department, CID officer. Professor Peter Nelson Mwanza (born May 1937) is a Malawian politician. He was appointed Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development in the government of President Bingu wa Mutharika of Malawi on 17 June 2009. He was reassigned to become Minister of Agriculture and Food Security in a cabinet reshuffle on 9 August 2010. Birth and education Peter N.
