Peter Chapman (politician)
Peter John Chapman MSP (born 13 May 1950) is a retired Scottish Conservative and Unionist politician. He served as a Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for the North East Scotland region between 2016 and 2021. In the Scottish Parliament, he was the Conservative spokesperson for rural economy and connectivity, until May 2018 when he resigned over a lobbying row. Political career Chapman served as an Aberdeenshire councillor from 2007 until 2012, and also served for six years as a local Director of the National Farmers Union Mutual Insurance Society. He served as a Director of Aberdeen and Northern Marts from 9 September 2014 until 9 August 2016. He was an ANM director when ANM submitted their planning development for the extension of their Thainstone Business Park on Thainstone Hill. Peter Chapman (born January 1977) is an English convicted murderer who has featured heavily in the media in the United Kingdom and has become known as the "Facebook Killer". He was jailed for a minimum of 35 years in March 2010 for the October 2009 rape, kidnap, and murder of 17-year-old Ashleigh Hall. His crime has led to serious criticism of police monitoring of offenders, and of Facebook. Life prior to the murder of Ashleigh Hall Peter Chapman was born in Darlington and was brought up by his grandparents in neighbouring Stockton-on-Tees before moving to Liverpool in 2005 aged 26. Chapman returned to County Durham in 2007 and had been charged with sexual offences before the murder of Ashleigh Hall prior to moving to Merseyside when Chapman was living in Middlesbrough. Peter Chapman (23 April 1925 – 22 June 2016) was an Australian comic book writer and illustrator. His most notable works were ''The Phantom Ranger'', ''The Shadow'' and ''Sir Falcon''. Peter Thomas Chapman was born in Cammeray, North Sydney on 23 April 1925. He began drawing at age seven, when he was diagnosed with polio, and eventually studied art at East Sydney Technical College. At the college he met Phil Belbin and studied under William Dobell, Edmund Arthur Harvey, Lyndon Dadswell, Douglas Dundas and Geoffrey Keith Townsend. In 1944 he was employed by Frank Johnson Publications, where he produced numerous comic strips including ''Jungle Patrol'', ''Steve Conrad'', ''Rocky Ned'', ''Diana Hastings'' and ''Captain Jerry Winter'', which appeared in ''Magpie Comics''. Peter Chapman (born August 27, 1980), also known by his stage names Coins and Peter Project, is a Canadian music producer and composer from Toronto, Ontario, best known for his record ''Daft Science'', a free EP of Beastie Boys remixes using only Daft Punk samples, released on July 1, 2014. He is a member of the Canadian hip hop crew Backburner and played keyboards in the garage rock band The Midways. ''Daft Science'' ''Daft Science'' is an eight-track remix album that combines Beastie Boys vocal tracks with Daft Punk music samples. The album was created in March 2014 while Chapman was on a layover in Chicago on his way to South by Southwest. On July 1, 2014, the album was released on Bandcamp, where it was downloaded roughly 400 times over two-and-a-half years. A music blog shared the album two and a half years later, inciting the dormant remix to be streamed 1.4-million times in a week.
