Peter Frederick Blaker Bennett, 1st Baron Bennett of Edgbaston, Kt, OBE, JP (16 April 1880 – 27 September 1957), known as Sir Peter Bennett between 1941 and 1953, was a British businessman and Conservative Party politician. Background and education Bennett was the son of Frederick C. Bennett and Annie (née Blaker), and educated at King Edward's School, Birmingham, and the University of Birmingham. Business career Bennett was chairman and managing director of Joseph Lucas Ltd and also served as a Justice of the Peace for Sutton Coldfield. He was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 1918, and knighted in 1941. Peter Bennett (May 10, 1935 – November 22, 2012) was a popular music promoter who worked with several prominent artists including the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, Frank Sinatra and the Jackson 5. Peter Bennett (born 24 June 1946) is an English former footballer who played as an inside-forward in the Football League for West Ham United and Orient. He also had a stint in the North American Soccer League with St. Louis Stars. Bennett attended Abbotsfield School and started his football career as an apprentice with West Ham United in 1961. He joined the club along with John Sissons after the pair were spotted by scout Charlie Faulkner while playing for Middlesex Schoolboys. He played in the side that won the FA Youth Cup in 1963, wearing the number 8 shirt in a team that featured the likes of Harry Redknapp and John Charles. Peter John Bennett (11 July 1926 – 4 July 2012) was an Olympian water polo player and Australian rules footballer who played with St Kilda in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Bennett was a full forward and topped St Kilda's goal kicking five times, with a best of 59 goals in 1950; however, he never fully recovered from a knee injury sustained in his debut match in 1944 and was among the best players in a poor team. Having already declined a invitation to represent the Australian team in water polo at the 1948 Summer Olympics and claimed a gold medal in the sport at the 1950 British Empire Games in Auckland, in 1952 Bennett took a year off from football in order to take part in the 1952 Summer Olympics at Helsinki. Peter Keith Bennett (born 8 November 1956) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Hawthorn and Essendon in the Victorian Football League (VFL). New Zealand born Bennett was a utility player, often used as a ruck-rover. He was recruited from Pakenham and put together 13 games in his two seasons at Hawthorn. He made more regular appearances when he crossed to Essendon, starting with 14 games in 1978, from which he averaged 18 disposals. Peter Alexander Bennett (born 22 March 1982) is an English television personality, actor and musician, who rose to fame after winning the seventh series of the Channel 4 reality series '' Big Brother'' in 2006. He has Tourette syndrome. Career In 2006, Bennett was selected as one of the original 14 housemates for the seventh series. He won the series with 61.2% of the final vote. He had served on both the National Council for Drama Training and the British Actors' Equity Association. Biography Peter Egerton Bennett was born in Chelsea, London, England, on 17 September 1917.
