Peru v Austria was a football match played on 8 August 1936 during the Summer Olympics at Hertha Platz in Berlin. The match became notable for causing a controversy after it was annulled because of a pitch invasion from Peruvian supporters who had assaulted the Austrian players. Peru had three of its five extra time goals disallowed by the referee and ended up winning the match 4–2. After the incidents, FIFA ordered the match to be played again with no attendance. Football at the 1936 Summer Olympics was won by Italy. After the introduction of the first FIFA World Cup in 1930 (which had, in itself led to the absence of a football tournament from the 1932 Games programme), competing nations would from now on only be permitted to play their best players if those players were amateur or (where national associations were assisted by interested states to traverse such a rule) where professional players were state-sponsored. However, since amateur players were counted as senior squad players, their results would be still counted as senior side's results until 1992. Adelfo Magallanes Campos (29 August 1910 – 16 January 1988) was a Peruvian footballer. He was part of the first golden era of the Peru national football team. Playing career Club Born in Cañete, Magallanes developed his footballing skills as part of Alianza Lima, and became an important part of the famed ''Rodillo Negro'' era of the club. Nicknamed ''El Bólido'', he played in the interior right and became the replacement of Alberto Montellanos in the ''Rodillo Negro''. Teodoro "Lolo" Fernández Meyzán (20 May 1913 – 17 September 1996) was a Peruvian professional footballer who played as forward. All his football work was carried out as a player of the Universitario de Deportes of the Peruvian First Division. He was champion, best player and top scorer in the 1939 Copa América. He is the top idol of Universitario de Deportes and Peruvian First Division.
