Persatuan Sepakbola Indonesia Kuta Raja, commonly known as Persiraja, is an Indonesian football club based in Banda Aceh, Aceh. They currently compete in the Liga 2. They play their home matches either at Harapan Bangsa Stadium or H. Dimurthala Stadium. Their most memorable achievements is when they became champion of Perserikatan in 1980. History Persiraja Banda Aceh was founded as a semi-professional team on 28 July 1957, initiated by PSSI. The name change from previous Persib Banda to its current name is unknown to the public. In the early formation of this team, the team's headquarters are located at Blang Padang Field, before being moved to the H. Dimurthala Stadium in Lampineung. At the beginning, since its inception, there's nothing special from this team. The club is still under the shadow of PSMS Medan who previously was one of the strongest teams in Indonesia. Rencong
The rencong ( Acehnese: ''reuncong'', Dutch spelling: ''rentjong'', British spelling: ''renchong'') is a type of knife originating in Aceh, Indonesia. Originally a fighting weapon, it is most often seen today in the martial art of pencak silat and worn during traditional ceremonies. Description The rencong is slightly L-shaped and has a sharp blade with a slightly convex back. The blade can vary in length from 10 to 50 cm. The blade can be straight or cranked like a kris. It is held in a scabbard of wood, ivory, horn, or sometimes even silver or gold. The rencong is worn on one's belt around the waist. The design of a rencong depends largely on the social status of its owner. The most common type is made of brass or silver steel with a sheath of wood or buffalo horn. Martunis Sarbini (born 2 May 1997), simply known as Martunis, is a former Indonesian footballer who played as a striker. He rose to fame in 2005 after surviving the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami and being found wandering along a beach by a group of journalists. Early life Martunis was born in the village of Tibang, in the district of Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh, Indonesia. On the morning of 26 December 2004, he was playing football with his friends in the pitch of his village when the tsunami struck. His mother and sister were amongst over 230,000 killed. He was stranded on a beach for 21 days and survived by holding onto a sofa. Rahmanuddin (born 13 March 1993) is an Indonesian professional association football, footballer who plays as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper for Persiraja Banda Aceh. Persatuan Sepak Bola Langsa, commonly known as PSBL Langsa, is an Indonesian football (soccer), football club based in Langsa, Aceh. They play in Liga 3 (Indonesia), Liga 3.
