Perdere L'amore
"Perdere l'amore" is a 1988 song composed by Marcello Marrocchi and Giampiero Artegiani and performed by singer Massimo Ranieri. The song won the 38th edition of the Sanremo Music Festival, and marked the return to music of Ranieri after a decade devoted to acting. The song had been already proposed by Gianni Nazzaro to the Sanremo Festival organizers in 1987, but had been rejected in the preliminary song selection. "Perdere l'amore" was covered by several artists, including Lara Fabian, André Hazes, Mino Reitano. Massimo Ranieri
Massimo Ranieri (born Giovanni Calone on 3 May 1951) is an Italian singer, actor, television presenter and director. Biography Early life Ranieri was born in Naples ( at Santa Lucia), the fifth of eight children in the family. When he was 10, young Giovanni would sing at restaurants, wedding receptions, etc. He was discovered by a music producer about four years later and was flown to New York to record an EP under the name of Gianni Rock. Singing career Ranieri recorded four songs in 1964: Tanti auguri signora, Se mi aspetti stasera, Non chiudere la porta, and La Prima Volta. None of the records were successful, primarily because young Gianni's voice was changing. Two years later, he would re-emerge under his new stage name, Massimo Ranieri. In 1966, he made his TV debut singing "Bene Mio". A year later, he made another TV appearance singing, "Pietà per chi ti ama". Mino Reitano
Beniamino "Mino" Reitano (December 7, 1944 – January 27, 2009) was an Italian singer, songwriter and actor. Reitano was born in Fiumara, a small village in Calabria. His father, an employee at the local railway station, was very passionate about music, and encouraged all his sons to learn to play an instrument. After a spell in the local brass band, Reitano moved to Reggio Calabria, where he studied at the Francesco Cilea Conservatory for eight years, learning piano, trumpet, and violin. In the late 1950s, Reitano moved with his brothers to Hamburg, where they formed a rock'n'roll band, Benjamin & His Brothers. They often played at the Star-Club, sharing the bill with Rory Storm, Tony Sheridan and The Beatles. André Gerardus Hazes (30 June 1951 - 23 September 2004) was a Dutch singer and actor.
