Per Severin Hjermann
Per Severin Hjermann (5 April 1891 – 13 June 1972) was a Norwegian politician for the Farmer's Party. He was born in Lærdal. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Sogn og Fjordane in 1954, and was re-elected on one occasion. On the local level Hjermann held various positions in Lærdal municipal council from 1925 to 1955, and served as mayor from 1937 to 1953, interrupted by the German occupation of Norway from 1940 to 1945. He was also chairman of Sogn og Fjordane county council from 1945 to 1954. Outside politics he was a farmer. Lærdal
Lærdal is a municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located on the south side of the Sognefjorden in the traditional district of Sogn. The administrative center of the municipality is the village of Lærdalsøyri. The old Filefjell Kongevegen road passes through Lærdal on its way to Valdres and later to Oslo. The municipality is the 71st largest by area out of the 356 municipalities in Norway (with over half of this area consisting of mountains). The Storting ( no, Stortinget ) (lit. the Great Thing) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. Sogn Og Fjordane
Sogn og Fjordane (; English: "Sogn and Fjordane") was, up to 1 January 2020, a county in western Norway, when it was merged to become part of Vestland county. Bordering previous counties Møre og Romsdal, Oppland, Buskerud, and Hordaland, the county administration was in the village of Hermansverk in Leikanger municipality. The largest town in the county was Førde. Although Sogn og Fjordane has some industry, predominantly hydroelectricity and aluminium, it is predominantly an agricultural area.
