The People's Revolutionary Army (, abbreviated as ERP) was the military branch of the Communism, communist Workers Revolutionary Party (Argentina), Workers' Revolutionary Party (, PRT) in Argentina. History Origins The ERP was founded as the armed wing of the PRT, a communist party emerging from the Trotskyist tradition, but soon turned to the Maoist theory, especially the Cultural Revolution. The Popular Revolutionary Army () is a far-left guerrilla warfare, guerrilla movement in Mexico. Though it operates mainly in the state of Guerrero, it has conducted operations in other southern Mexican states, including Oaxaca, Chiapas, Guanajuato, Tlaxcala and Veracruz. Zimbabwe People's Revolutionary Army (ZIPRA) was the military wing of the Zimbabwe African People's Union (ZAPU), a Marxist–Leninist political party in Rhodesia. It participated in the Rhodesian Bush War against white minority rule of Rhodesia (modern Zimbabwe).
