People's Communist Party Of Kazakhstan
The People's Party of Kazakhstan (Abbreviation, abbr. QHP),, NPK originally the Communist People's Party of Kazakhstan (QKHP),, KNPK is a Left-wing politics, left-wing political party in Kazakhstan, currently led by Ermūhamet Ertısbaev. The Secretaries of the Central Committee are Turgyn Syzdyqov, Gauhar Nugmanova, Viktor Smirnov and Jambyl Ahmetbekov. The party was registered on 21 June 2004. At the time of registration, the party had 90,000 members. Following the 2004 Kazakhstani legislative election, 2004 elections to the Mazhilis the party received 1.98% of total votes. In the 2007 Kazakhstani legislative election, 2007 elections to the Mazhilis the party won 1.29% of the votes and did not pass the electoral threshold. Ermūhamet Ertısbaev
Ermukhamet Qabidenuly Ertisbaev ( kk, Ермұхамет Қабиденұлы Ертісбаев, ; born 19 November 1956) is a Kazakh politician and diplomat who has served as the chairman of the People's Party of Kazakhstan since 27 March 2022. Prior to that, he served as the Kazakh ambassador to Belarus from November 2017 to August 2019 and to Georgia from April 2013 to November 2017. Ertisbaev worked in several governmental ministries of Culture, Information which was split in March 2006 with Ertisbaev being appointed as a Culture and Information. He was also a member of the Supreme Soviet of the Kazakh SSR from 1990 to 1994 and has served in President Nursultan Nazarbayev's administration where he had been called as Nazarbayev's "wily political adviser."

2004 Kazakhstani Legislative Election
Legislative elections were held in Kazakhstan on 19 September and 3 October 2004. The Otan party won 42 of the 77 seats, gaining a majority in the Mazhilis. Background By 2003 the Kazakh economy was on a recovery with its GDP growth rate being 9.2% which was one of the highest rates among the CIS countries. The primary cause was due to the increased cost of petroleum as a result of the American-led war in Afghanistan, which allowed the government to repay its debts and raise pensions, average salaries and improve medical services. The quality of life in Kazakhstan was improving, as the average monthly salaries increased to about 28,000 Tenge ($198) or about 8.3% increase from 2002. This increase however was not spread evenly. Some groups benefited greatly from the increasing wages, while about 25% of Kazakhs especially in the southwestern districts and regions around the Caspian Sea continued to live below the poverty line. Erasyl Abilqasymov (, ''Erasyl Äbılqasymov''; born 28 July 1948) is a retired Kazakh politician who served as a member of the Mazhilis from 2001 to 2007. 2005 Kazakh Presidential Election
Presidential elections were held in Kazakhstan on 4 December 2005. Incumbent president Nursultan Nazarbayev, in power since 1989, sought and won a 3rd term against four other candidates. Opposition candidates were allowed some access to the mass media, but this was still restricted. According to western election observers, opposition candidates also suffered considerable harassment.
