People's Alliance Of New Brunswick
The People's Alliance of New Brunswick (PANB) is a Provinces and territories of Canada, provincial political party in the Canada, Canadian province of New Brunswick. In the 2018 New Brunswick general election, 2018 election, the party won three seats in the provincial legislature for the first time since its founding. The party advocated for "common sense" government and the abolition of the Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages, with a transfer of that office's responsibilities to the office of the provincial ombudsman. The party's platform has been described as "a mixture of economic conservatism, rural populism and opposition to some aspects of official bilingualism and duality". Miramichi
The name "Miramichi" was first applied to a region in the northeast of New Brunswick, Canada, and has since been applied to other places in Canada and the United States. David Alward
David Nathan Alward (born December 2, 1959) is a Canadian politician, who served as the 32nd premier of New Brunswick, 2010 to 2014. Alward has been a member of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick since 1999 and has been the leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of New Brunswick. His party was defeated on September 22, 2014, and Alward resigned as Progressive Conservative Party of New Brunswick leader on September 23, 2014. David Coon
David Charles Coon (born 28 October 1956 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian politician, who was elected to the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick in the 2014 provincial election to represent the provincial electoral district of Fredericton South. Minto, New Brunswick
Minto (2016 pop. 2,305) is a Canadian village straddling the border of Sunbury County and Queens County, New Brunswick. It is located on the north shore of Grand Lake, approximately 50 kilometres northeast of Fredericton. Its population meets the requirements for "town" status under the Municipalities Act of the Province of New Brunswick, but the community has not made any change in municipal status. Minto is known to have taken its present name in 1904 upon the retirement of Canada's eighth Governor General, The Earl of Minto. and the story remains that the village adopted its name from the local Minto Hotel. Grand Lake-Gagetown was a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, Canada. It was first created in the 2006 redrawing of electoral districts and was first used in the general election later that year. Its last MLA was Ross Wetmore. History It was created in 2006 from parts of Grand Lake and Oromocto-Gagetown. From Grand Lake, it took Chipman, Minto and other communities around the Grand Lake area, however large portions of the district—both in terms of geographics with large forested areas in the west of the district and in terms of population with suburban areas just outside of Fredericton—were lost to the district of Fredericton-Fort Nashwaak.
