Peni Ravai
Peni Ravai Kovekalou (born 16 June 1990) is a Fijian rugby union player, who currently plays at hooker and prop for the Flying Fijians and the in Super Rugby. He previously played for in the Mitre 10 Cup in New Zealand, Aurillac in the Pro D2, and Bordeaux Bègles and Clermont Auvergne in the Top 14. He has also played at centre and on the wings. Career Ravai grew up playing rugby in the backline. He played wing and centre. When he made it to provincial level, he started playing in the forwards as there was no place in the backline. He became Nadroga's starting prop and at times played on the flanks as well as in the backline. He has also played 7's rugby for Davetalevu. He joined the Fiji Barbarians team at the Uprising 7's tournament and helped them win the title. In February 2013, he was selected into the Fiji 7's team to replace the injured Josua Tuisova. Greater Sydney Rams
The Greater Sydney Rams, originally known as the Western Sydney Rams, is a former rugby union team from Australia that was disbanded in 2018. The Rams won the minor premiership in the 2007 Australian Rugby Championship (ARC), and then competed in the National Rugby Championship (NRC) from 2014 to 2017. The Greater Sydney Rams team in the NRC took its identity from the Rams side that was founded in 2007. Australia's national competition was discontinued following the first season in 2007 but, after an absence of six years, the ARC was relaunched as the NRC in 2014. The revived Rams team for 2014 was backed by a syndicate of private investors in partnership with four Sydney rugby clubs; Parramatta, Penrith, Southern Districts and West Harbour. Pro D2
Rugby Pro D2, also known as Pro D2 is the second tier of rugby union club competition division in France. It is operated by Ligue Nationale de Rugby (LNR) which also runs the division directly above, the first division Top 14. Rugby Pro D2 was introduced in 2000. It is the world's best supported second tier rugby union league. Season structure There is relegation and promotion between both the Top 14 and Fédérale 1, the third-level competition. The top club at the end of the season is automatically promoted to the Top 14; through the 2016–17 season, the 2nd through 5th place teams play each other for the second promotion place. The bottom two are automatically relegated to Fédérale 1. The bottom two clubs of the Top 14 and the top two of Fédérale 1 then enter the Rugby Pro D2 for the next season. The Uruguay national rugby union team (Spanish: '' Selección de rugby de Uruguay'') represents Uruguay in men's international rugby union nicknamed ''Los Teros'', is governed by the Unión de Rugby del Uruguay. 2015 Mid-year Rugby Union Internationals
The 2015 mid-year rugby union internationals (also known as the Summer internationals in the Northern Hemisphere) refer to international rugby union matches that were mostly played in the Southern Hemisphere. Because of the 2015 Rugby World Cup, no test series took place. This allowed the European season to finish two weeks later, with the final of the 2014–15 Top 14 season taking place on 13 June. The 2015 Super Rugby season was able to run for 21 consecutive weeks, without the three-week international break in June, to allow an earlier and shortened 2015 Rugby Championship. Although the international window did not take place, some nations participating in the World Cup opted to play uncapped matches in preparation for the tournament. National Rugby Championship
The National Rugby Championship, known as NRC, was an Australian rugby union competition. It was contested by eight teams, seven from Australia and one from Fiji. The tournament ran from 2014 until 2019 before being disbanded in 2020 following the change of the Australian rugby TV broadcasting deal from Fox Sports, who had funded the competition, to Stan Sport. The 2020 competition was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Format The National Rugby Championship was usually held between late August and early November. A round-robin tournament was scheduled first where each team played all others once. Inoke Male
Inoke Male (born 3 June 1963, in Nausori, Fiji), is a Fijian former rugby union footballer and former head coach of the Fijian national side. He played in the position of Number eight, but could also play Flanker during his playing career. Fiji Caps Male, a product of Raralevu rugby club, first represented Fiji in 1993 in a series of uncapped matches. However, a member of the Navy in Fiji, he was unable to represent his nation further after he moved to the Middle East for peacekeeping duties. On his return in 1995, he signed with Te Kawhata in New Zealand where he stayed for two years. 2013 USA Sevens
The 2013 USA Sevens was the tenth edition of the USA Sevens tournament, and the fifth tournament of the 2012–13 IRB Sevens World Series. The host stadium was the Sam Boyd Stadium in the Las Vegas-area community of Whitney, Nevada. South Africa won the title by defeating New Zealand 40–21 in the final. Format The teams were divided into pools of four teams, who played a round-robin within the pool.
