Bryan Penberthy (born December 29, 1976) is an American poet. Born in Dearborn, Michigan, in 1976, he was raised near Leavenworth, Kansas. He received his B.A. from Kansas State University in 2000, and his M.F.A. from Purdue University in 2003. During his time at Purdue, Penberthy served as Poetry Editor for '' Sycamore Review''. His debut collection of poetry, ''Lucktown'', was awarded the National Poetry Review Book Prize and was published in 2007. James Penberthy AM (3 May 191729 March 1999) was an Australian composer and journalist. Biography He was born Albert James Penberthy in Melbourne in 1917. He served with the Royal Australian Navy during World War II. He then studied at the University of Melbourne, where he obtained first class honours in composition. He later studied composition with Nadia Boulanger in Paris, and conducting with Sir John Barbirolli in England. He made his home in Perth, Western Australia, where he founded the West Australian Opera Company and was co-founder of the West Australian Ballet with his third wife, the Monaco-born Russian dancer Kira Bousloff. In 1975 he moved to the north coast of New South Wales. He founded the School of Arts at Southern Cross University. He died there in 1999. While specializing in lightweight and technical equipment, MSR's gear is designed for a wide range of outdoor enthusiasts from novice to expert mountaineers. It is located in Seattle, Washington and owned by Cascade Designs. History MSR began as a newsletter in 1969 that covered topics around mountaineering safety. In 1973, Larry Penberthy (1916–2001) developed the MSR Model 9 camp stove, a design which was relatively efficient in cold weather. He separated the stove burner from then small fuel tanks, and then pressurized auxiliary fuel bottles as the tank, and used a better wind screen. Michael Dunkin Penberthy (born November 29, 1974) is an American professional basketball coach and former player. A point guard from The Master's College (now The Master's University), Penberthy went undrafted in the 1997 NBA draft but played for the Los Angeles Lakers, winning an NBA championship in 2001. Early life and college Born in Los Gatos, California, Penberthy graduated from Herbert Hoover High School at Fresno, California in 1993. He played college basketball for The Master's College in Santa Clarita, California, where he played with distinction, broke numerous school records (including most career points), was a 2-time NAIA All-American, and was later a charter member of the college for the 2003–2004 season. Stanley Archibald Penberthy (3 June 1906 – 31 March 1989) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Footscray and Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Penberthy, a follower, played 81 games at Subiaco between 1927 and 1931. Amongst his seven interstate appearances for Western Australia were games at the 1930 Adelaide Carnival. He also played cricket for Subiaco. In 1932 he left the state and joined Footscray, with whom he would spend five and a half seasons.
