Pelli Kanuka (1998 Film)
''Pelli Kanuka'' () is a 1998 Telugu-language drama film, produced by Nannapaneni Anna Rao under the N. V. S. Creations banner and directed by Kodi Ramakrishna. The film stars Jagapati Babu, Lakshmi, Bhanumathi Ramakrishna with music composed by M. M. Keeravani. The film is a remake of the 1997 Hindi film '' Pardes''. It was Bhanumathi’s last film appearance to date. Plot The film begins with Savitramma, an industrialist at Delhi, visiting her native village after many years. Currently, she meets her old family friend Sitaramaraju's family. During her stay in the conservative, she relishes the traditional culture and love of Sitaramaraju's daughter, Ganga. Accordingly, she desires to knit Ganga with her westernized grandson, Srinivasa Prasad / Chintu. Sitaramaraju's family accepts the proposal. Posani Krishna Murali
Posani Krishna Murali (born 22 January 1958) is an Indian screenwriter, actor, director and producer who primarily works in Telugu cinema. He worked as a writer for over 150 Telugu films and directed a number of films. In 2009, he also contested in Andhra Pradesh state legislative assembly elections from Chilakaluripet constituency but lost the elections. Early life and education Posani was born on 22 January 1958 in Pedakakani, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry (born Chembolu Seetharama Sastry; 20 May 1955 – 30 November 2021) was an Indian poet and lyricist known for his works in Telugu cinema and Telugu theatre. He acquired the stage name Sirivennela after writing the lyrics for K. Viswanath's directorial film of Sirivennela, the same name in 1986. Sastry has garnered several awards including eleven state Nandi Award for Best Lyricist, Nandi Awards and four Filmfare Award for Best Lyricist – Telugu, Filmfare Awards South for his work. He has penned lyrics for over 3000 songs until 2020.
