Pekeliling Flats
Pekeliling Flats, better known as Tunku Abdul Rahman Flats was the third high-rise apartment building in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia built after Razak Mansion and Suleiman Courts. History The Pekeliling Flats were built between 1964 and 1967 to accommodate the lower income group and squatter people in the city. They were seven blocks of the flats (Block A, Block B (both demolished in 2006), Block C, Block D, Block E, Block F, Block G) and four-storey shop houses located on Jalan Pekeliling (now Jalan Tun Razak) and Jalan Pahang, built at cost of RM20.5 million which was launched by the Kuala Lumpur Federal Capital Commissions ''(Suruhanjaya Ibu Kota)''. Current state Blocks A and B were the first to be demolished in mid-2006 to make way for a proposed luxury apartment development project. Modern Architecture

An apartment (American English), or flat (British English, Indian English, South African English), is a self-contained housing unit (a type of residential real estate) that occupies part of a building, generally on a single story. Suleiman Courts
Suleiman Court was the first high-rise apartment building in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The building was constructed at the direction of Malaysia's first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman, who intended the Courts to provide affordable housing. The Courts was named after Suleiman bin Abdul Rahman, then incumbent Minister of Interior & Justice, who had watched over the progress of the Housing Trust for 8 years since its inception. The Courts were built in 1957, as the Federation of Malaya neared official independence from the United Kingdom. Tunku Abdul Rahman had hoped for the building to be not just complete, but already occupied, in time for Hari Merdeka (the official proclamation of independence) on 31 August; however, the first apartments were not occupied until February 1958. Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 1 or the stretch of roads including Jalan Tun Razak, Lebuhraya Sultan Iskandar (Lebuhraya Mahameru), Jalan Damansara, Jalan Istana and Jalan Lapangan Terbang is an urban and municipal main ring road in Kuala Lumpur. It is also known as Kuala Lumpur–Petaling Jaya Traffic Dispersal Scheme by the Malaysian Public Works Department (JKR). It is a busy ring road during rush hour time. The Kuala Lumpur City Hall ( ms, Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur, abbreviated DBKL) is the city council which administers the city of Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Setapak
Setapak is a mukim in Gombak District, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Formerly a tin-mining and rubber estate area, in Malay ''tapak'' means 'step' so ''Setapak'' means 'one step', probably referring to the close proximity of the suburb to Kuala Lumpur. Another explanation of the origin of its name traces to its historical roots. History The earliest inhabitants of Setapak were the aborigines (''orang asli''), and the Minangkabaus.
