Pee-wee's Big Holiday
''Pee-wee's Big Holiday'' is a 2016 American adventure comedy film directed by John Lee and written by Paul Reubens and Paul Rust. The film stars Reubens as Pee-wee Herman and Joe Manganiello as himself. The film was released on March 18, 2016, on Netflix. It is a stand-alone sequel to Big Top Pee-wee (1988). Plot Pee-wee Herman is a resident of the small town of Fairville and works as a fry cook at Dan's Diner, where he is well liked by the locals and revered for his diner cooking. However, his world is suddenly turned upside down when his band breaks up. Soon afterwards, he meets and befriends actor Joe Manganiello, who convinces Pee-wee to leave Fairville for the first time in his life to travel to New York City to attend Joe's birthday party. John Lee (producer)
John Michael Lee (born November 30, 1972) is an American television producer, writer, director, voice actor, and musician best known for his work on the MTV2 comedy series ''Wonder Showzen'' as a member of the rock band/art collective PFFR. Career Lee is long time friends with fellow PFFR member and television producer Vernon Chatman. They met as undergraduates at San Francisco State University. Along with Chatman, Lee is the co-creator, writer, director and star of ''Wonder Showzen''. He voices Wordsworth, one of the main puppet characters and provides various other voices on the show.
