Pay Per Play
{{Refimprove, date=February 2008 Pay per play (PPP), also known as cash per play (CPP), is an online advertising method that plays an audio advertisement on websites. The term "pay per play" comes from advertisers paying for each audio ad played. Also, the web page playing the audio ad is normally paid for each ad they serve. Ads are typically automatically played when a visitor loads a web page. Most commonly initiated via JavaScript, audio ads normally cannot be stopped once they start. Audio ads vary in length, and a website visitor will usually hear only one advertisement per visit to any specific web page. In radio advertising, the term "pay per play" can also refer to a relationship between advertisers and audio ad producers. Mixberry Media launched a form of PPP allowing audio enabled web sites and mobile applications to request targeted audio ads in real time. This allows advertisers to control where their ads are heard in addition to giving the publishers full control ...

Advertising
Advertising is the practice and techniques employed to bring attention to a product or service. Advertising aims to put a product or service in the spotlight in hopes of drawing it attention from consumers. It is typically used to promote a specific good or service, but there are wide range of uses, the most common being the commercial advertisement. On the other hand, ads that intend to elicit an immediate sale are known as direct-response advertising. Non-commercial entities that advertise more than consumer products or services include political parties, interest groups, religious organizations and governmental agencies. Non-profit organizations may use free modes of persuasion, such as a public service announcement. Advertising may also help to reassure employees ...

It is a '' network of networks'' that consists of private, public, academic, business, and government networks of local to global scope, linked by a broad array of electronic, wireless, and optical networking technologies. The Internet carries a vast range of information resources and services, such as the inter-linked hypertext documents and applications of the World Wide Web (WWW), electronic mail, telephony, and file sharing. The origins of the Internet date back to the development of packet switching and research commissioned by the United States Department of Defense in the 1960s to enable time-sharing of computers. The primary precursor network, the ARPANET, initially served as a backbone for interconnection of regional academic and military networks in the 1970s to enable resource sharing. The ...

Interactive Advertising
Interactive advertising uses online or offline interactive media to communicate with consumers and to promote products, brands, services, and public service announcements, corporate or political groups. In the inaugural issue of the ''Journal of Interactive Advertising'', editors Li and Leckenby (2000) defined interactive advertising as the "paid and unpaid presentation and promotion of products, services and ideas by an identified sponsor through mediated means involving mutual action between consumers and producers". This is most commonly performed through the internet; often through the use of an ad server that can deliver a variety of interactive advertising units. Objectives The goals of interactive advertising are usually akin to the traditional objectives of advertising, i.e. to sell a product.
