Pavithran (Tamil Film Director)
Pavithran is an Indian film director, who has made many hit Tamil films. He was active primarily in the 1990s collaborating in ventures which often included Sarathkumar in pivotal roles. He was awarded the Tamil Nadu state Kalaimamani award for his works in the film industry. Career Pavithran a student of Pachaiyappa's college began his career with K. T. Kunjumon's production venture ''Vasanthakala Paravai'' (1991), before going on to make a successful action film with Sarathkumar titled ''Suriyan'' (1992) which went on to become the biggest hit of the year, cementing his position in kollywood and then re-collaborated with the actor the following year with ''I Love India'' (1993). Sarathkumar
Sarathkumar Ramanathan (born 14 July 1954) is an Indian actor, politician, filmmaker, and singer. He has acted in more than 130 Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films. He has won two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards and three Filmfare Awards South. Originally a bodybuilder and later journalist, in 1986, Sarathkumar started his acting career in the Telugu film ''Samajamlo Sthree''. He first acted in negative roles, and later played supporting roles before establishing himself as a lead actor in subsequent years, earning him the titles ''Supreme Star'' and ''Super Hero'' in Tamil cinema. In 2007, he launched a new political party All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi (AISMK) in Tamil Nadu, claiming to carry out the ideals of K. Kamaraj. Selva (film)
''Selva'' is a 1996 Indian Tamil-language romantic action film directed by A. Venkatesh. The film stars Vijay, Swathi, Riva and Raghuvaran. The music is composed by Sirpy. The film was a successful venture, and Vijay performed a risky jump stunt in the film. Plot Selva lives in a colony. He is the son of lawyer Varatharajan but he lives separately. It turns out that he is the adopted son of Varatharajan. Meanwhile, a minister's daughter moves into the colony. She moves friendly with Selva. Kadhal Palli
''Kadhal Palli'' () is a 1997 Indian Tamil language comedy drama film directed by Pavithran. The film stars Vignesh, Suvaluxmi, Vaiyapuri, Sukran and Jawahar, with Bhaskar Raj, Vichithra, Vinu Chakravarthy and Kumarimuthu playing supporting roles. The low-budget film, produced by N. R. Dhanapalan, had musical score by Deva and was released on 15 August 1997. Plot Balu ( Vignesh), Palli (Vaiyapuri), Gold (Sukran) and Kandhan (Jawahar) are good friends and small-time crooks in Ooty, they pretend to be tourist guides and then they rip off the tourists. ''Mattuthavani'' is a 2012 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by Pavithran. The film stars Ramkiran and Menaka and Meetha , whilst Soori appeared in a supporting role, with music composed by Deva. The film had opened to poor reviews. The Fiji coup d'état of 2000 was a civilian coup d'état by hardline i-Taukei (ethnic Fijian) nationalists against the elected government of an Indo-Fijian Prime Minister, Mahendra Chaudhry on 19 May 2000. Raja (born 9 April 1971), known professionally as Vignesh, is an Indian actor who predominantly works in Tamil cinema. Career Vignesh got selected to play the lead role in Balu Mahendra's ''Vanna Vanna Pookkal'' (1992) but he was removed from the film after working on it for seven days and was replaced by Prashanth.
