Paul Dowling Robinson (June 19, 1898 – September 21, 1974) was a comic strip artist best known for his long-run ''Etta Kett'' comic strip. Biography Early life and education Born in Kenton, Ohio, Robinson was the son of an iron moulder, and the Robinson family were farmers in Buck, Ohio, by 1910. When Paul Robinson signed his draft card on September 12, 1918, he was living at 1219 West Jefferson in Sandusky, Ohio, and working as a demurrage railway clerk in the local Big Four freight offices. From clerk to cartoons On June 21, 1919, the ''Sandusky Register'' reported that Robinson had left Sandusky two months earlier to begin his new career as an artist at the Bray Productions animation studios in New York. He began doing panels and strips for the Central Press Association, continuing with King Features Syndicate after Central Press was purchased by King Features in 1930. Paul Mark James Robinson (born 7 January 1982) is an English former professional footballer who works as a defensive coach for Portsmouth in League One. Playing career Millwall Born in Barnet, London, Robinson began his career as a trainee with Millwall after being released from Watford, turning professional in August 2001. Later that month he joined Fisher Athletic on loan to gain some first team experience. He made his Millwall debut on 9 September 2002, coming on as a second-half substitute for Darren Ward in a 2–1 home win against Preston North End. In December 2004 Robinson joined Torquay United on loan, playing twelve times before returning to Millwall and establishing himself as a first team regular, eventually gaining club captaincy under Lions' boss Kenny Jackett and establishing himself as a firm fan favourite. Paul David Robinson (born August 28, 1987) is an American professional rock climber who specializes in bouldering. He has established and repeated several bouldering problems at the V15 difficulty rating, in such areas as Hueco Tanks, the Buttermilks, and Magic Wood. In 2007, Robinson became the second climber in history to successfully climb a V13 boulder problem in one attempt. Paul Harvey Robinson (born December 19, 1944) is a former professional American football running back for two seasons in the American Football League (AFL) and five seasons in the National Football League (NFL). Early life Robinson was one of 12 children of Leslie Robinson Sr. (1907–1987) and Levada Mallard Robinson (1909–1956), both of Crockett, Texas, who were married in 1926. In 1951, the family moved to Marana, Arizona where Leslie worked as a farm contractor. Paul attended Marana High School, where he played basketball and football, but he especially excelled at track. He graduated from high school in 1963 and attended Eastern Arizona College, a community college in Thatcher, Arizona. Paul William Robinson (born 15 October 1979) is an English former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper in the Premier League and Football League for Leeds United, Tottenham Hotspur, Blackburn Rovers and Burnley. Robinson is a former England international, earning 41 caps between 2003 and 2007. Robinson joined Leeds United at age 16, becoming professional aged 18, and made 119 appearances for the club, 95 of which were in league matches, and scored a goal in a League Cup tie.
