Paul Joseph Peterson (born October 18, 1964), also known as St. Paul Peterson, is a singer and musician best known for his memberships in the bands The Family and The Time. Life and career Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Peterson was the youngest son in a musical family. He was discovered by Prince in 1983 and groomed to replace Monte Moir as keyboardist of R&B band The Time. Peterson gained exposure when the band appeared in the hit movie '' Purple Rain''. When The Time broke up in 1984, Prince gathered the remnants to form The Family, with Peterson as lead singer. The group's tenure was brief, performing live only once (at First Avenue, where ''Purple Rain'' was filmed). Peterson left to pursue a solo career, releasing his eponymous debut album in 1987. Peterson released two singles, "Intimacy" and "Rich Man" from the album, as well as a video for the latter one. Paul Peterson (born July 1, 1988) is an American professional golfer, currently playing on the European Tour and the Asian Tour. Professional career Peterson played on the Canadian Tour in 2012, making only two cuts in six events. In February 2014, Peterson was successful at the Asian Tour Qualifying School. In 2015, he finished in the top 10 of two joint events with the European Tour. This gave him 138th place in the European Tour rankings for 2015, earning him conditional status for 2016. On August 21, 2016, Peterson won the D+D Real Czech Masters for his first European Tour victory. He was ranked 398th in the world prior to the victory. In January 2018, Peterson won the Myanmar Open, co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour and the Japan Golf Tour, by two strokes, which moved him up to 127th in the Official World Golf Ranking. Paul Peterson (born July 29, 1980) is an American football coach and former player. He is the head football coach at Utah Tech University, formerly named ''Dixie State University'', in St. George, Utah, a position he has held since the 2019 season. Peterson played college football as quarterback at Boston College. He was the first Boston College quarterback to start his career 6–0, and compiled a 12–2 record for his career with the Boston College Eagles, including two bowl game victories, in the 2003 San Francisco Bowl and 2004 Continental Tire Bowl. He was named the Big East Offensive Player of the Week twice, the MVP of the Continental Tire Bowl, and BC's team MVP in 2004.
