Paul Marks (scientist)
Paul Alan Marks (August 16, 1926 – April 28, 2020) was a medical doctor, researcher and administrator. He was a faculty member and president at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Background Marks was born in Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania, in 1926, to Robert Marks and Sarah Bohorad. Marks attended Columbia College and Columbia Medical School. After completing postdoctoral research at the United States National Institutes of Health and at the Institut Pasteur in France, he joined the faculty at Columbia University. Marks served as dean of the Medical Faculty at Columbia University from 1970 to 1973. He was president and chief executive officer at Memorial Sloan Kettering from 1980 until 1999. Marks died at his Manhattan home from pulmonary fibrosis and lung cancer on April 28, 2020 at the age of 93. Scholarly activities Marks contributed to the fields of genetics and oncology. 2008 IRB Pacific Nations Cup
The 2008 Pacific Nations Cup was a rugby union tournament held between six national sides on the Pacific Rim: Australia A, Fiji, Japan, Samoa, Tonga and New Zealand Māori (just for this year). The inaugural competition was held in 2006. This year the tournament started on 7 June and ended on 6 July 2008. The tournament is a round-robin where each team plays all of the other teams once. There are four points for a win, two for a draw and none for a defeat. There are also bonus points offered with one bonus point for scoring four or more tries in a match and one bonus point for losing by 7 points or less. Time Of Your Life (American TV Series)
''Time of Your Life'' is an American teen drama television series starring Jennifer Love Hewitt that aired for one season on Fox from October 25, 1999 to June 21, 2000. A spin-off of ''Party of Five'', the series followed Sarah Reeves Merrin as she moved to New York City to learn more about her biological parents. Co-stars included Jennifer Garner, Pauley Perrette and Gina Ravera. ''Time of Your Life'' debuted on Fox on October 25, 1999, but was later put on an indefinite hiatus that ended up lasting five months due to low ratings. The series returned to the network in June 2000 as a part of its summer schedule, but was soon officially cancelled. As a result, the series' final seven episodes remained unaired in the United States, but were later broadcast in several European countries. GetTV aired the entire series on October 28, 2021.
