Paul Perry Dixon (August 28, 1907 – January 20, 1994) was an American baseball pitcher in the Negro leagues. He played from 1928 to 1938 with several teams. Paul Dixon (October 2, 1918 – December 28, 1974) was a daytime television personality and talk show host in Cincinnati, Ohio. He began his career with radio shows in New York City and Chicago before being enticed to come to then-radio station WCPO in Cincinnati as a news reporter and announcer around 1945. He was chosen best newscaster in Cincinnati in 1947 after conducting an interview with men trapped in a collapsed downtown building. Eventually abandoning radio news in favor of entertainment, he spent his first few years in television as host of ''Paul Dixon's Song Shop'', a three-hour daily show he co-hosted with Dottie Mack and Wanda Lewis pantomiming to records of the day. By 1954 his show was so popular that Dumont Television enticed Dixon to come to New York to do the show nationally. Paul Kenneth Dixon (born 22 February 1960) is a Northern Irish retired professional footballer who played as a central defender. He joined English club Burnley as a 16-year-old and went on to play 24 Football League matches for the Turf Moor club but missed long periods through injury during his time in England. In 1983, following his release from Burnley, Dixon moved back to Ireland to play for Glentoran. Career Born in Derry, Northern Ireland, BornDixon played youth football with the Waterside Club in Derry City before joining recently relegated English Football League Second Division side Burnley on trial during the summer of 1976. Paul Andrew Dixon (born 22 November 1986) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a defender for Peterhead. Paul Dixon (born 4 August 1973) is a former ice hockey defenceman and player-coach from Sunderland, England. He is currently the head coach for the Guildford Flames of the Elite Ice Hockey League, the top-tier of hockey in the United Kingdom. Playing career After working his way through the Durham Wasps youth system, Dixon made his first appearance for the senior side in the 1989/90 season. Paul Dixon (born 8 August 1989 in London, England) is an English singer-songwriter and guitarist. He was known in the years 2010–2012 as David's Lyre, but is now using the musical project name Fyfe.
