Paul Brown
Paul Eugene Brown (September 7, 1908 – August 5, 1991) was an American football coach and executive in the All-America Football Conference (AAFC) and National Football League (NFL). Brown was both the co-founder and first coach of the Cleveland Browns, a team named after him, and later played a role in founding the Cincinnati Bengals. His teams won seven league championships in a professional coaching career spanning 25 seasons. Brown began his coaching career at Severn School in 1931 before becoming the head football coach at Massillon Washington High School in Massillon, Ohio, where he grew up. His high school teams lost only 10 games in 11 seasons. He was then hired at Ohio State University and coached the school to its first national football championship in 1942. After World War II, he became head coach of the Browns, who won all four AAFC championships before joining the NFL in 1950. Paul Brown (English Footballer)
Paul Henry Brown (born 10 September 1984) is an English footballer who plays as a midfielder. He currently plays for Workington. Club career Brown made his debut for Tranmere Rovers, coming on as a substitute in the 87th minute, at home to MK Dons, in the 2–0 victory in League One on 27 November 2004. He made a further two appearances in League Two during the 2004–05 season. The following season, 2005–06, he was sent out on loan to Accrington Stanley in September, and made three appearances in the Conference National. He then joined Barrow in August 2006, before leaving March 2007. He then joined Australian club Kingston City, returning to Barrow in August 2007, helping them to achieve promotion from the Conference North via the play-offs in 2007–08. After one season in the Conference National he was released by Barrow. Brown signed for Droylsden in the 2009–10 season following his release by Barrow. He left the club in September 2011. Paycor Stadium, previously known as Paul Brown Stadium, is an outdoor football stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is the home venue of the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League and opened on August 19, 2000. Originally named after the Bengals' founder, Paul Brown, the stadium is located on approximately of land and has a listed seating capacity of 65,515. The stadium is nicknamed "The Jungle", an allusion to not only the namesake Bengal tiger's natural habitat—hinted at with green-colored seats throughout—but also the Guns N' Roses song "Welcome to the Jungle", which is the team's unofficial anthem. Unofficial Football World Championships
The Unofficial Football World Championships (UFWC) is an informal way of calculating the world's best international association football team, using a knock-out title system similar to that used in professional boxing. The UFWC was formalized and published by English journalist Paul Brown in 2003. The title is currently held by Argentina, who won it from Croatia on 13 December 2022. Background The idea stemmed originally from some Scotland fans and sections of the media jokingly asserting that as they beat England (who had won the 1966 World Cup) in a British Home Championship match on 15 April 1967—England's first loss after their FIFA World Cup victory—they were the "Unofficial World Champions". In 2003 freelance journalist Paul Brown defined the rules of the UFWC, traced its lineage and wrote an article in football magazine ''FourFourTwo''. In 2011 Brown authored a book on the subject. Paul Brown (1950–1997) was a senior journalist and presenter of Channel Report, Channel Television ITV Channel Television, previously Channel Television, is a British television station which has served as the ITV contractor for the Channel Islands since 1962. Paul Brown (born 1952, New York, NY) is an American journalist and musician. He began his radio and journalism career at commercial radio station WPAQ in Mount Airy, NC. He began work in public radio in 1987, at NPR member station WFDD in Winston-Salem, NC. From 1999 to late 2013, he worked at NPR's Washington, DC headquarters as a news executive, editor, producer, reporter and world newscaster. He is a traditional musician who acquired his first repertoire from his Virginia-born mother. He is best known in music circles as a banjo player, fiddler and singer. He has documented musicians and music traditions, primarily in the southeastern US, and produced numerous recordings. Paul Neeley Brown (October 4, 1926 – November 26, 2012) was an attorney and United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. He had previously served as the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas. Education and career Born in Denison, Texas, Brown served as an Electrician's Mate in the United States Navy during World War II, entering the service at age 18 and serving from 1944 to 1946. Afterward he went to college on the GI Bill, and earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law in 1950. He returned to the Navy for a short tour from 1950 to 1951. After being discharged, Brown returned to Sherman, Texas and set up a private practice.
