Pat Patterson (born Pierre Clermont; January 19, 1941 – December 2, 2020) was a Canadian-American professional wrestler and producer, widely known for his long tenure in the professional wrestling promotion WWE, first as a wrestler, then as a creative consultant and producer ("booker"). He is recognized by the company as their first Intercontinental Champion and creator of the Royal Rumble match. He was inducted into the WWF Hall of Fame as part of the class of 1996. In 2019, Patterson became the oldest person to win a title in WWE history, after winning the WWE 24/7 Championship at age 78. Andrew Lawrence Patterson (December 19, 1911 – May 16, 1984) was an American Negro league infielder in the 1930s and 1940s. A native of East Chicago, Indiana, Patterson attended Washington High School and Wiley College, where he starred in football and baseball. He broke into the Negro leagues in 1934 with the Cleveland Red Sox, and was selected to play in that season's East–West All-Star Game. After serving in the military in World War II, Patterson returned to baseball and played for the 1946 Negro World Series champion Newark Eagles. James Edwin "Gravy" Patterson Jr., also known as Pat Patterson, (March 26, 1934 – October 11, 2007) was an American college baseball coach. He served as the head baseball coach at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana from 1968 to 1990, compiling a record of 741–462–2 record. Patterson produced 18 winning seasons in 23 years, and his teams won 40 or more games in five of those years. He was Southland Conference Coach of the Year seven times. In retirement, he often returned as an interim coach. Seven of Patterson's players, including Mike Jeffcoat, Phil Hiatt, and David Segui, reached the majors.
