Pat O'Brien (racing Driver)
Pat O'Brien (born November 16, 1965) is a retired Canadian Dirt Modified racing driver. Credited with more than 185 wins at seven speedways in two countries, he earned four Mr. DIRT 358 series crowns. He has captured 22 track championships, including 10 titles at Can-Am Speedway in Northern New York. Racing career Pat O'Brien began racing in 1985 in the 358 Modified division, and centered his career at the racetracks in southeastern Canada and northern New York state, including Autodrome Edelweiss QC, Autodrome Drummond QC, Autodrome Granby QC, Brighton Speedway ON, Can-Am Speedway NY, Cornwall Motor Speedway ON, Fulton Speedway NY, and Mohawk International Speedway NY. Kingston, Ontario
Kingston is a city in Ontario, Canada. It is located on the north-eastern end of Lake Ontario, at the beginning of the St. Lawrence River and at the mouth of the Cataraqui River (south end of the Rideau Canal). ''The Daily Gazette'' is an independent, family-owned daily newspaper published in Schenectady, New York. ''The Daily Gazette'' also owns and operates ''The Amsterdam Recorder'', ''The Gloversville Leader-Herald'' and ''Your Niskayuna''. History ''The Daily Gazette'' was founded as a weekly newspaper by the Marlette family in 1894. It was sold to the Schenectady Printing Association in September of that year, and expanded into a daily newspaper, while still publishing its weekly edition. Watertown Speedway was a 1/2 mile dirt oval raceway located at the Jefferson County fairgrounds in Watertown, New York. Located in the Thousand Islands region, it drew competitors and fans from both sides of the Canada–US border History Auto racing was first presented at the former horse track located on Coffeen St in 1936 and again in 1940, when the Jefferson County Fair featured sprint car races sanctioned by the American Automobile Association. The Northeast Dirt Modified Hall of Fame was established in 1992 to recognize individual achievements in the sport of stock car racing. ''The Recorder & Times'' is a daily newspaper published in Brockville, Ontario, Canada. The paper was founded as the weekly ''Brockville Recorder'' by Chauncey Beach on January 16, 1821 and later led by William Buell, Jr. as editor and owner until 1849. Fulton Speedway
Fulton Speedway is a 3/8th mile high bank dirt oval raceway in Volney, New York. The track was built into a hilly area on the banks of the Oswego River in a natural bowl, with seating high above the track, on a hill. History Millard “Bub” Benway and his brother Ray used their construction business, Benway Bros. Construction, to build a 1/3 mile paved oval under the name Mil-Ray Raceway. The first event was held June 24th, 1961, and a 1/8 mile dragstrip began operations on July 15th, 1962 and ran for a decade. Asphalt racing was on the weekly schedule until 1978. The Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modifieds is a North American big block modified touring series currently promoted by World Racing Group. The series primarily races on dirt ovals in the Northeastern United States and Canada along with select dates in Florida and North Carolina.
