Paseo De San Antonio
The Paseo de San Antonio is a pedestrian paseo in Downtown San Jose, spanning from Plaza de César Chávez in the west to San Jose State University's campus in the east. History The paseo was developed in 1988 by the San José Redevelopment Agency, with the pedestrianization of San Antonio Street eastwards from Plaza de César Chávez. Paseo de San Antonio was laid out to serve as a pedestrian axis through central Downtown. It has since become one of the most-utilized pedestrian spaces in Downtown, as a focal point for dining, events, and theatres. Location Paseo de San Antonio is located in central Downtown San Jose. VTA Light Rail
VTA Light Rail is a light rail system in San Jose and nearby cities in Santa Clara County, California. It is operated by the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority, or VTA, and consists of of network comprising three main lines on standard gauge tracks. Twohy Building
The Twohy Building is a historic building in San Jose, California, located on the Paseo de San Antonio in Downtown San Jose. It was built in 1917 for Judge John W. Twohy, the founder of the Twohy Brothers Construction Company. With The company focused on "design and heavy/civil construction of railroads, bridges, tunnels, and public wprks projects, as well as manufacturing railroad cars, World War I "Victory" ships, and ownership of railroads. Paseo De San Antonio Station
Paseo de San Antonio station is an at-grade light rail station on the Blue Line and the Green Line of the VTA light rail system. The station platforms run along the Downtown San Jose transit mall, with the northbound platform located alongside 1st Street and the southbound platform located alongside 2nd Street.
