Pasaia Station (Euskotren)
Pasaia is a railway station in Pasaia, Basque Country, Spain. It is owned by Euskal Trenbide Sarea and operated by Euskotren. It lies on the San Sebastián-Hendaye railway, popularly known as the Topo line. The Cercanías San Sebastián station is located close to the Euskotren station, but the two are not connected. History The station opened in 1912 as part of the San Sebastián-Hendaye railway. The station was built in a viaduct as otherwise six level crossings would have been required in the town. As part of the new alignment of the line between Herrera and , the station will be rebuilt underground, south of its current location. Works started in early 2022 and their completion is scheduled for 2027. The elevated station will be demolished after the new station enters service. Euskotren 200 Series
The Euskotren 200 series is an electric multiple unit (EMU) train type operated by Euskotren in the Basque Country, Spain from 1986 to 2018. History The trains were ordered by Euskotren in 1983, with the first unit being delivered in 1985. They entered service on 1 February 1986, originally in the Bilbao-Plentzia line, where they replaced the rolling stock inherited from FTS. The trains had been intended for use in the Bilbao metro (which took over most of the Bilbao-Plentzia railway), but ultimately new trains were built for it. Thus, with the opening of the metro in 1995, the trains were transferred to the Txorierri, Urdaibai and Bilbao-San Sebastián lines. The trains were built entirely in the Basque Country: the motor cars by CAF in Beasain, the non-powered cars by Babcock & Wilcox in Sestao and the electrical equipment by Westingouse in Erandio. Pasaia ( es, Pasajes) is a town and municipality located in the province of Gipuzkoa in the Basque Autonomous Community of northern Spain. It is a fishing community, commercial port and the birthplace of the famous admiral Blas de Lezo. Pasaia lies approximately east of Donostia's centre, lying at the foot of Mount Ulia and the Jaizkibel massif. San Sebastián Metro
Euskotren operates frequent commuter rail services in the city of San Sebastián and the surrounding Donostialdea area, in the Basque Country, Spain. The infrastructure is gradually being upgraded to rapid transit standards, in order to create the San Sebastián Metro ( es, Metro de San Sebastián, eu, Donostiako metroa). Euskal Trenbide Sarea (, es, Red Ferroviaria Vasca), commonly known by its acronym ETS, is a railway infrastructure manager operating in the Basque Country, Spain.
