Pasadena Memorial Stadium
Veterans Memorial Stadium, opened in 1965, is a 12,700-capacity stadium in Pasadena, Texas, owned by the Pasadena Independent School District. The stadium hosts all of the varsity home football games for the district's five high schools and is also host to many Class 3A, 4A and 5A playoff games. The varsity high school soccer teams also play at Newcomb Field in the winter. Houston Outlaws (RFL Team)
The Houston Outlaws were a professional American football team that played during the 1999 season as part of the Regional Football League. They played their home games at Pasadena Memorial Stadium in Pasadena, Texas, a suburb of Houston. The team was announced as one of the league's charter members on November 12, 1998. Although Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Ernie Stautner was named head coach in February 1999, there is no record of him acting in that capacity. For the team's lone season, former NFL defensive tackle Ray Woodard served as head coach. Josh LaRocca, who had played college football for the Rice Owls, was the starting quarterback. Although the team was scheduled to play a 12-game regular season, poor attendance and sagging revenues would prove too much for the new league. South Houston High School is a public high school located in South Houston, Texas in the United States. The school is a part of the Pasadena Independent School District. History South Houston High School opened in 1957 to relieve Pasadena High School and graduated its first class in 1959. At that time the city of South Houston had a population of approximately 7500 citizens. During the school's early years, the mayor of South Houston was George Christy, who was the owner of a circus.
