Parva (2002 Film)
''Parva'' is a 2002 Indian Kannada-language musical drama film directed and written by Sunil Kumar Desai and produced by H. C. Srinivas. The film stars Vishnuvardhan along with Prema, Roja and Yakshagana exponent ' KeremaneShambhu Hegdein prominent roles. The music was written, scored and produced by Hamsalekha. The film released on 18 January 2002 to generally positive reviews from critics. Plot This is one of the rare movies in Kannada cinema history. The movie starts with a song and also ends with a song and dance. This is probably the first time in Kannada cinema where the director uses a song to complete the climax for the movie. Sagar (Vishnuvardhan) is a good singer and dancer. He starts searching for Suma (Prema) in a huge crowd. When the crowd starts wondering why is he looking for her commences the first flashback, which is one among the seven or so flashbacks in the movie. Sunil Kumar Desai
Sunil Kumar Desai is an Indian film director, writer and producer, known for his work in Kannada cinema. In most of his films, Desai blends art and commercial cinema. He has written and directed Thriller (genre), suspense/thrillers and Romance film, love stories. He has won the Karnataka state awards (4 times) in the Best Screenplay & Best Dialogues categories. Kishori Ballal (1937/1938 – 18 February 2020) was an Indian actress who was known for her works in Kannada cinema. The actress made her debut in 1960 with ''Ivalentha Hendthi'' and since then in a career spanning over 15 years, she has appeared in 72 films and along the way has worked with some of the most renowned directors and stalwart actors. Apart from Kannada film, the actress has also worked in Hindi films most notably as the caretaker of Shah Rukh Khan in the critically acclaimed ''Swades''. Hariharan (born 3 April 1955) is an Indian playback, bhajan and ghazal singer who predominantly sings in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu languages.
