The simple station Parque is a part of the TransMilenio mass-transit system of Bogotá, Colombia, opened in the year 2000. Location The station is located in southern Bogotá, facing the ''Parque El Tunal'', from which it gets its name. Specifically, it is located on Avenida Ciudad de Villavicencio with Calle 55 Sur. Parque station is part of the Blue Line of the Lisbon Metro. History Parque is one of the 11 stations that belong to the original Lisbon Metro network, opened on 29 December 1959. This station is located on Avenida António Augusto de Aguiar. It takes its name from the nearby Parque Eduardo VII. The architectural design of the original station is by Francisco Keil do Amaral. On 29 December 1994 the station was refurbished, based on the architectural design of Sanchez Jorge. The Battle of Parque was a battle during the Mexican Revolution, where Emiliano Zapata and his supporters rebelling against president Francisco I. Madero, who had recently overthrown the previous president Porfirio Díaz. A group of Zapata's supporters attempted to ambush a train containing 27 Mexican Rurales under the command of the American Soldier of Fortune, Emil Lewis Holmdahl. Plan of Ayala and Zapata's Rebellion Against Madero Compromises between the Madero and Zapata failed in November 1911, days after Madero was elected president. Zapata and Otilio Montaño Sánchez, a former school teacher, fled to the mountains of southwest Puebla. There they promulgated the most radical reform plan in Mexico, the Plan de Ayala (Plan of Ayala). Parque played for the Chicago White Sox and Tampa Bay Devil Rays of Major League Baseball (MLB) from to . Career Amateur career High school Jim Parque grew up poor in Southern California. His father made less than US$20,000 per year and his mother, a Vietnamese immigrant, worked at a textiles factory in Chinatown, Los Angeles.
