Election Commission Of Malaysia
The Election Commission of Malaysia ( ms, Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya Malaysia), abbreviated SPR or EC, is a commission set up for ensuring fair and equitable operations in undertaking the elections in Malaysia. The opposition coalition Pakatan Rakyat that contested the general elections in 2013 was dissolved after series of disagreements between two main parties, Democratic Action Party (DAP) and Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS). The 12th Malaysian Parliament is the last meeting of the legislative branch of the government of Malaysia, the Parliament, comprising the directly elected lower house, the ''Dewan Rakyat'', and the appointed upper house, the ''Dewan Negara''. Nasarudin Hashim
Dato' Nasarudin Hashim (born 20 July 1950) is a Malaysian politician. He is the former one-term Member of Parliament (MP) of Malaysia for Parit constituency in Perak from 2004 to 2008. Nasarudin was also the Perak State Legislative Assemblyman for the Bota constituency having held the office for two terms between 2008 and 2013. He is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) party in the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. As member of the Perak State Legislative Assembly, he was known for his key role in the 2009 Perak constitutional crisis.
