Paride Suzzara Verdi
Paride Suzzara Verdi (1 April 1826 – 7 August 1879) was an Italian patriot, journalist and politician. Early years Paride Suzzara Verdi was born in San Giorgio di Mantova in the Province of Mantua on 1 April 1826 to a wealthy and patriotic family. His parents were Carlo Suzzara Verdi, a landowner, and Matilde Dall'Acqua. He participated in the revolutions of 1848 with his brothers Annibale (born 1827), Teodoro (born 1828) e Tullio (born 1829). He was identified by the police as being close to the revolutionary movement of 1848. After the Austrians returned he first moved to Borgoforte and then to Pavia. In 1851 he graduated from University of Pavia with a degree in law. Suzzara Verdi was among the twenty people who met on 2 November 1850 to create the revolutionary committee of Mantua. Paride Taban (born 1936 in Opari, Eastern Equatoria) is a South Sudanese Emeritus Bishop of the Roman Catholic Church and was the first leader of the New Sudan Council of Churches, which was founded in February 1990. he was auxiliary Bishop of Juba 28 Jan 1980 to 2 July 1983 and served as bishop of Torit from 1983 to 2004. Biography Taban was the first bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Torit in what was then Sudan from 1983 until 2004. In 1989, when the rebel Sudan People's Liberation Army (SPLA) overtook Torit, he was arrested with three other Catholic priests by the SPLA. Until 1990 he and Nathanael Garang were the only two Bishops active in areas held by the SPLA. Since his retirement from the diocese, he has been leading an effort to make peace in South Sudan real by setting up the Kuron Peace Village, established in 2005. Paride Tumburus (; 8 March 1939 – 23 October 2015) was an Italian footballer who played as a defender. Club career Born in Aquileia, Tumburus played club football for Bologna F.C. 1909 and Vicenza Calcio, before retiring after a season with Rovereto in 1971.
