Parampara (1990 Film)
''Parampara'' (meaning ''the succession'') is a 1990 Malayalam film, directed by Sibi Malayil, written by S. N. Swamy, and starring Mammootty, Suresh Gopi and Sumalatha. Mammootty plays two roles in the film, portraying both Johnny, the protagonist, and Lawrence, his father. The film was a commercial failure. The film's story was developed by Swamy on the suggestion of Mammootty after watching an English film. The film was loosely remade in Hindi as ''Phool Aur Kaante'' (1991) and in Telugu as ''Varasudu'' (1993), both of which were commercial successes. Plot When his son is kidnapped by a rival gang, Johnny teams up with his estranged father (Johnny's mother was murdered by his father's enemies) to rescue the kidnapped child. Sibi ( Sindhi: سيوي ur, ) is a city situated in the Balochistan province of Pakistan. The city is the headquarters of the district and tehsil of the same name. Sathaar
Sathaar (25 May 1948 – 17 September 2019) was an Indian actor who primarily worked in Malayalam films. He made his acting debut with M. Krishnan Nair's ''Bharyaye Avashyamundu'' (1975). He became a hero in 1976 with ''Anaavaranam'', directed by A. Vincent. Even though he started as a leading man, later he became a successful villain as well as a character actor. He also had important roles in the early 80's Tamil films ''Mayil'' and ''Soundaryame Varuga Varuga''. He acted in almost 300 movies including Tamil and Telugu. Sreekumaran Thampi
Sreekumaran Thampi (born 16 March 1940) is an Indian lyricist, music director, director, producer, and screenwriter in Malayalam cinema. He also writes poetry and is a recipient of the Vallathol Award. In 2017, he was awarded the J. C. Daniel Award, Kerala government's highest honour for contributions to Malayalam cinema. Film career Thampi was introduced to the Malayalam film industry in 1966 by P. Subramaniam as a lyricist in the film '' Kaattumallika''. Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a Malaysian-Indian playback singer and actor in Tamil cinema. Early life Malaysia Vasudevan's parents were from Palakkad. Chattu Nair of Ottappalam and Ammalu of Polpulli, along with their families migrated to British Malaya in search of a livelihood. After a few years, Chattu Nair married Ammalu in an arranged marriage. Vasudevan was born on 15 June 1944 as their eighth and youngest child.
