''Parachutes'' is the debut studio album by British rock band Coldplay. It was released on 10 July 2000 by Parlophone in the United Kingdom. The album was produced by the band and British record producer Ken Nelson, except for one track, "High Speed", which was produced by Chris Allison. Recording sessions for the album began in late 1997, during which time Gomez also toured the United Kingdom with Embrace. ''The Blue Room'' is the second EP released by British rock band Coldplay and their first after signing with Parlophone in October 1999. Background The version of "Don't Panic" featured on this release and produced by Chris Allison is different from the one that appears on the band's later debut LP, ''Parachutes''.
