Pamela Nelson
Pamela Nelson is an artist that works in painting, mixed media, and public art installations. Biography Nelson grew up in Midland, Texas, and graduated from Southern Methodist University. Public artworks by Nelson include four Dallas Area Rapid Transit stations, a circular floor medallion at DFW Airport's Terminal D Departure Level Concourse, and ''Color Equations'' at NorthPark Center. Nelson recently installed a painting at the Bush Presidential Center in Dallas, Texas, titled ''To Everything Turn. In visual art, mixed media describes artwork in which more than one medium or material has been employed. Assemblages, collages, and sculpture are three common examples of art using different media. National Museum Of Women In The Arts
The National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA), located in Washington, D.C., is "the first museum in the world solely dedicated" to championing women through the arts. NMWA was incorporated in 1981 by Wallace and Wilhelmina Holladay. Since opening in 1987, the museum has acquired a collection of more than 5,500 works by more than 1,000 artists, ranging from the 16th century to today. The Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts (AMFA), formerly known as the Arkansas Arts Center, is an art museum located in MacArthur Park, Little Rock, Arkansas.
