Palazzo Del Popolo, Todi
Palazzo del Popolo, also called ''Palazzo del Priori'' or ''Podesta'', is a Gothic architecture civic palace in Todi, region of Umbria, Italy. The palace was erected in 1213-1228, thus decades before the adjacent Palazzo del Capitano. The wide staircase that serves as a bridge into the main council room was added in 1267 by the Podestà Pandolfo Savelli. The orientation of the main facade was established in the 16th century. The palazzo was extensively refurbished in the 19th century, which added the merlons to the rooflines of two buildings in this piazza. Museo Civico Pinacoteca The top floors of the Palazzo del Capitano and the Palazzo del Popolo house the Pinacoteca Civic Museum of Todi. Santa Maria Della Consolazione, Todi
Santa Maria della Consolazione is a Renaissance-style pilgrimage church in Todi, Italy. The centralized, symmetric plan, surmounted by a tall dome, distinguishes this Renaissance church, from the more common elongated basilica or Latin-cross designs. The original project is attributed to Donato Bramante, despite the absence of documentation. Cola da Caprarola, supposedly aided by Baldassarre Peruzzi, began construction in 1508 on the flank of the city hill, just outside the walls. The design is often erroneously attributed to Bramante. It has a Greek cross plan: three apses are polygonal and the one on the north side is semicircular. Other architects who helped bring the work to completion were Antonio da Sangallo the Younger, Galeazzo Alessi, Michele Sanmicheli, Vignola and Ippolito Scalza. The church was completed only by 1607. Lo Spagna
Lo Spagna (died ''c.'' 1529), "the Spaniard" in Italian, was a painter of the High Renaissance, active in central Italy. His name was Giovanni di Pietro, but he was known as ''Lo Spagna'' because he was born in Spain. After Raphael, he was a main pupil and follower of the Umbrian painter Perugino, whose style his paintings develop. He should not be confused with Pietro di Giovanni D'Ambrogio of Siena. Lo Spagna is known for a number of major works completed in the region, that include the ''Birth of the Virgin'' from Spineta in Todi, the ''Adoration of the Magi'' of Ferentillo and the ''Nativity'' of St Anthony in Perugia.
