Palazzo Naiadi Hotel
The Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome Hotel (formerly the Boscolo Exedra Roma) is a 5-star luxury hotel in Piazza della Repubblica, Rome situated near the Baths of Diocletian and the Michelangelo-designed Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli. It is part of The Dedica Anthology hotel chain. History The building was originally built in 1887 as part of two twin neoclassical-style buildings constructed by Gaetano Koch. It was developed into a luxury hotel in the early 2000s. The new hotel was redesigned by architect Maurizio Papiri and designer Adam D. Tihany. The hotel embraces a wing that was built in 1705 by Pope Clement XI as a grain store. Some ruins of the Baths of Diocletian can be seen through glass in the basement. Piazza Della Repubblica, Rome
Piazza della Repubblica is a circular piazza in Rome, at the summit of the Viminal Hill, next to the Termini station. On it is to be found Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri. It is served by the Repubblica – Teatro dell'Opera Metro station. From the square starts one of the main streets of Rome, Via Nazionale. The former name of the piazza, ''Piazza dell'Esedra'', still very common today, originates in the large exedra of the baths of Diocletian, which gives the piazza its shape. The exedra present in the baths of Diocletian was incorporated into the gardens built by Cardinal Jean du Bellay; on his death in 1560, the land was purchased by Cardinal Carlo Borromeo, and eventually came into the possession of Cardinal Alessandro Sforza in 1579. Tazio Secchiaroli
Tazio Secchiaroli (26 November 1925 – 24 July 1998) was an Italian photographer known as one of the original paparazzi. He founded the agency Roma Press Photo in 1955. Secchiaroli was the inspiration for the Paparazzo character in Fellini's film ''La Dolce Vita''. Much of Fellini's research into the profession of tabloid journalism was simply buying dinner for Secchiaroli and his friends, and listening to their exploits. Ironically, by the time the term 'paparazzi' was coined, Secchiaroli had become more of an insider in the Italian film industry and had left the paparazzi-style attack photography behind. Heart Attack
A myocardial infarction (MI), commonly known as a heart attack, occurs when blood flow decreases or stops to the coronary artery of the heart, causing damage to the heart muscle. The most common symptom is chest pain or discomfort which may travel into the shoulder, arm, back, neck or jaw. Often it occurs in the center or left side of the chest and lasts for more than a few minutes. The discomfort may occasionally feel like heartburn.
