Pakkinti Ammayi (1981 Film)
''Pakkinti Ammayi'' is a 1981 Indian Telugu-language comedy film directed by K. Vasu and produced by A. Sarathi. It is a remake of the 1953 Telugu film of the same name which in itself was a remake of the Bengali-language film ''Pasher Bari'' (1952) based on the namesake short story by Arun Chowdhury. The film stars Jayasudha, Chandra Mohan, SP Balasubrahmanyam, and Chakravarthi in key roles. The music was composed by Chakravarthi who also played the role of a music teacher in the film. Jayasudha Kapoor (born Sujatha Nidudavolu) is an Indian actress and politician known for her works predominantly in Telugu cinema. She has also worked in few Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi films. Chandra Mohan (born Mallampalli Chandrasekhara Rao; 23 May 1944) is an Indian actor known for his works predominantly in Telugu films. He has garnered one Filmfare Award South and two Nandi Awards. He received critical reception for his performance in box office hits such as '' Rangula Ratnam'' (1966) for which he received the state Nandi Award for Best Actor, ''Padaharella Vayasu'' (1978) for which he won the Filmfare Best Actor Award (Telugu), and ''Siri Siri Muvva'' (1978). Mada Venkateswara Rao (4 June 1935 - 24 October 2015) was an Indian actor from Andhra Pradesh. He acted in more than 600 films. He played notable roles in the films ''Mutyala Muggu'', '' Lambadolla Ramdasu'', and '' Mayadari Malligadu''. He was known for his comedy roles. He worked as an engineer in the state civil department before becoming an actor. He entered theater as a stage artist and also worked as a cine journalist. Arudra (born Bhagavatula Sadasiva Sankara Sastry; 31 August 1925 – 4 June 1998) was an Indian author, poet, lyricist, translator, publisher, dramatist, playwright, and an expert on Telugu literature. Veturi Sundararama Murthy (29 January 1936 – 22 May 2010), known mononymously by his surname Veturi, was an Indian poet, lyricist and journalist who is popular for writing Telugu songs.
