Pakistan National Football Team
The Pakistan national football team represents Pakistan association football in FIFA-authorized events and is controlled by the Pakistan Football Federation, the governing body for football in Pakistan. Pakistan became a member of FIFA in 1948 joining the Asian Football Confederation and its national team debuted in 1950. Pakistan contests the South Asian Football Federation Championship and South Asian Games, which alternate biennially. Pakistan's football team has won gold at the South Asian Games in South Asian Games, 1989, South Asian Games, 1991, South Asian Games, 2004 and South Asian Games, 2006. Pakistan has never qualified for any major tournament outside the South Asian region. The Bogyoke Aung San Stadium () is a multi-purpose stadium, located in downtown Yangon, Myanmar. It was built as an athletic ground in 1906, which was completed in 1909 and named as Burma Athletic Association Ground, where many sports were held such as cricket, football and tennis. The runway was constructed in 1935. Overview Renovated and renamed after Aung San in 1953, the 40,000 seat stadium is still the largest stadium in Myanmar and was the national stadium until the mid-1980s. Puran Bahadur Thapa
Puran Bahadur Thapa (born 1928) is an Indian footballer who played for the India national team and the Services football team. He scored a hat-trick for the national team in a 3–1 win against Pakistan in the 1954 Colombo Cup at the Eden Gardens. It was the second hat-trick by an Indian footballer post-independence in international football after Sheoo Mewalal. Mohammad Amin (footballer)
Mohammad Amin (1931 – 9 August 1979) was a Pakistani international Association football, footballer and Manager (association football), manager. He served as Captain (association football), captain of the Pakistan national football team at the Football at the 1964 Summer Olympics – Men's qualification, 1964 Summer Olympics qualification, and is one of the players to have played and coached the national team. He also played for Selangor F.C., Selangor in Malaysia, Malaya and Pakistan Air Force FC, Pakistan Air Force at club level. He won the Malaysia Cup twice with Selangor.
