Pakistan Women Lawyers' Association
The Women Lawyers' Association (WLA) or Pakistan Women Lawyers' Association (PWLA) works for gender equality in Pakistan's judicial system and is committed to removing gender bias while promoting gender-equality in the legal profession. The Pakistan Women Lawyers' Association is supporting small-scale projects throughout the country that focus on empowering women and have been involved in a range of activities, which include instituting legal aid for indigent women and opposing gender-segregation in universities, etc. It publicizes and condemns the growing incidents of violence against women, and has released a series of films educating women about their legal rights. The focus of the movement is three-pronged, i.e. ensuring women's representation in the National Assembly, raising women's consciousness about family planning, and fighting suppression of women's rights by defining positions on events in order to raise public awareness. In sociology, a social organization is a pattern of relationships between and among individuals and social groups. Characteristics of social organization can include qualities such as sexual composition, spatiotemporal cohesion, leadership, structure, division of labor, communication systems, and so on. Family Planning In Pakistan
Even though there is considerable demand for family planning in Pakistan, the adoption of family planning has been hampered by government neglect, lack of services and misconceptions. Demographics play a large role in Pakistan's development and security since the recent change from military rule to civilian leadership. Women In Pakistani Politics
Since Independence Day (Pakistan), Pakistan's independence on 14 August 1947, women have been active participants in Parliamentary system, parliamentary politics. Their representation remained low in the first and second Constituent Assemblies, however the amendments to the Constitution of Pakistan paved way for their increased participation in the Parliament of Pakistan, parliament. Besides, the progressive laws helped improve their participation in legislative and executive positions over the years. Since 2002, women politicians have notable representation in the federal as well as provincial assemblies.
