Pakistan Women's National Baseball Team
The Pakistan women's national baseball team ( ur, ) is the national team representing Pakistan in international women's baseball tournaments and competitions. The team made its Women's Baseball World Cup debut at the 2016 edition in South Korea, and finished 12th overall. The team has competed at both editions of the Women's Baseball Asian Cup, finishing 6th in 2017 and 8th in 2019. As of January 2023, it is ranked 19th in the world. Pakistan Federation Baseball
Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB) is the governing body for baseball in Pakistan. The Federation was founded in 1992 by Syed Khawar Shah, to promote the games of baseball in the country. The PFB has hosted the Asian Baseball Cup on several occasions. In 2015, Pakistan national baseball team took part in the Asian Baseball Championship in Taiwan as the West Asian Champion. In 2016, it debuted in the World Baseball Classic qualification in New York, following its 5th-place finish at the 2015 Asian Baseball Championship. In 2016, Pakistan women's national baseball team made their debut at the World Championship in South Korea. As of 2017, it is ranked sixth in Asia out of 15. The WBSC World Rankings is a ranking system for national teams in baseball and softball. The teams of the member nations of the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC), baseball's world governing body, are ranked based on their tournament results with the most successful teams being ranked highest. The is the national team representing Japan in international baseball competitions. It won the World Baseball Classic in 2006 and 2009, as well as WBSC Premier12 in 2019. The team is currently ranked 1st in the world by the World Baseball Softball Confederation. The WBSC Asia, formerly known as, Baseball Federation of Asia (BFA) is the governing body of the sport of baseball and softball in Asia.
