Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) or National Olympic Committee of Pakistan (NOC) ( ur, پاکستان اولمپک ایسوسی ایشن, acronym: POA) is the national olympic organization in Pakistan. It was established in 1948 to oversee the active participation of the newly independent state at the Olympiad. The men's javelin throw at the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games as part of the athletics programme was held at the Perry Lakes Stadium on Saturday 24 November 1962. The event was won by Australian Alf Mitchell with a throw of , breaking his personal best by over a foot. Mitchell won by ahead of the defending champion, Englishmen Colin Smith and fellow countryman Nick Birks who won the bronze medal. Mitchell throw also set a new Games record, eclipsing the mark that Smith had set in Cardiff four years earlier. Muhammad ( ar, مُحَمَّد;  570 – 8 June 632 CE) was an Arab religious, social, and political leader and the founder of Islam. According to Islamic doctrine, he was a prophet divinely inspired to preach and confirm the monotheistic teachings of Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and other prophets. Muhammad Ayub (athlete)
Muhammad Ayub (1932–2008), was a Pakistani athlete who represented Pakistan at international and national athletics. He was also an officer in Pakistan Army, participated in 1965 war and received a Medal. Career From 1952 to 1978 Ayub represented Pakistan. In 1970, 1972 and 1973 he participated in national Championships and won Gold Medals in Disc Throw, during this period he was also the Athletic Coach of Pakistan Sports Control Board. Afterwards he remained a coach for POF Athletic Team and served in B-20 POF Weapons Factory from 1979 to 1990. He died on 19 October 2008. The event was won by 19-year-old Australian Trevor Bickle. Bickle won by three inches ahead Danie Burger from the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland and the Australian champion Ross Filshie. Allah Ditta (15 December 1932 – 20 March 2020) was a Pakistani pole vaulter who competed in two Olympic Games. Born in Panjeri , Ditta first competed internationally at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne, Australia. Representing Pakistan, he finished in 15th place in the qualifying round of the pole vault event with a height of 4.00 metres. Two years later at the 1958 Asian Games in Tokyo, Japan, Ditta won the bronze medal in the pole vault. All three medalists cleared 4.20 metres which equalled the Asian Games record. Two months later at the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Cardiff, Wales, Ditta finished fourth in the pole vault with a vault of .
