Painkiller Jane (TV Series)
''Painkiller Jane'' is an American-Canadian science fiction and action television series based on the comic book character of the same name. Airing on the Sci Fi Channel in the US starting April 13, 2007 and Global in Canada, it starred Kristanna Loken as the title character. The show was canceled after one season of 22 episodes. Plot The series stars Loken as Jane Vasco. She begins as a DEA agent, where in the course of her work she encounters Andre McBride ( Rob Stewart), who is the leader of a team of agents working for an unspecified government agency. The team is based in a disused subway station named ''Deckard Street''. She is forced to join the team after she probes too far into their operations. It is then revealed that the team's mission is to identify and neutralize "neurological aberrants" ("neuros") – human mutants with supernormal mental powers. Painkiller Jane
Painkiller Jane is a fictional superhero created by Jimmy Palmiotti and Joe Quesada for Event Comics in 1995. Originally a five-issue mini-series, the character went on to star in numerous crossover titles with the likes of the Punisher, Vampirella, and Hellboy. After Event comics, the character was exclusively written by Jimmy Palmiotti and drawn by various artists as it jumped from publisher to publisher. The series relaunched at Dynamite Entertainment with the first mini-series selling out. After that Icon- an independent label for creator owned work at Marvel comics, published two mini-series. The character then came back to PaperFilms, a company owned by Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner where it is currently published. Peter DeLuise
Peter John DeLuise (born November 6, 1966) is an American actor, television director, television producer, and screenwriter. He is known for his role as Officer Doug Penhall in the Fox TV series ''21 Jump Street'', and for directing and writing episodes of science fiction television shows, particularly in the ''Stargate'' franchise. He is the son of actors Dom DeLuise and Carol Arthur. Career DeLuise made his film debut in the 1979 film '' Hot Stuff''. Gillian Horvath (born April 12, 1966) is a television writer and producer in the United States and Canada. Background Horvath was born and raised in New York City Her mother was a social worker; her father, producer/director Imre Horvath, was an editor and documentary producer at CBS News. William Michael "Will" Waring is a camera operator and director, primarily for ''Stargate SG-1'' and ''Stargate Atlantis''. Lawrence Hertzog (June 25, 1951 – April 19, 2008) was an American television writer and producer. He is best known for creating the cult series '' Nowhere Man'', which aired for one season during 1995–1996 on UPN. Hertzog was born in Flushing, Queens and grew up in Teaneck, New Jersey. In addition to continuing work in the entertainment industry, Hertzog also hosted a podcast entitled ''Drinks with Larry and Lauren'' in Los Angeles, featuring himself and his former assistant Lauren Proctor.
