Marta Pagnini
Marta Pagnini (born 21 January 1991) is a retired Italian group rhythmic gymnast from Prato, Italy. Career She was part of the 2010 and 2011 Italian Group that competed at the World Championships that won the Group All-around gold medal. Her teammates also won a pair of bronze medals at the 2012 World Cup Final in 5 Balls and 3 Ribbons + 2 Hoops. She has won a bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the group all-around event together with other Group Members( Elisa Blanchi, Romina Laurito, Elisa Santoni, Anzhelika Savrayuk, Andreea Stefanescu ). In 2013, with the retirement of Elisa Santoni, Pagnini became the captain of the Italian National Rhythmic Gymnastics Team that was dubbed "Le Leonesse". In 2013, Pagnini was part of the team that took an all around silver and won a silver in 10 Clubs event in World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Kiev. Luca Antonio Pagnini
Luca Antonio Pagnini (15 January 173721 March 1814) was an Italian writer and a scholar and translator of Greco-Roman literature. Biography Luca Antonio Pagnini was born in Pistoia to a poor family. His abilities and the good training he received from Cesare Franchini attracted attention to him, and the Carmelites invited him to join their chapter in Florence. On entering the Carmelite Order he changed his name to Giuseppe Maria. Later he was sent to Parma, where he taught philosophy in the college of his Order. The writer Frugoni took note of the young man and obtained for him an appointment as teacher in the University of Parma. He soon was teaching rhetoric and Greek language. He became noted as a prolific translator of classic poetry and writings. He also published arcadian poetry under the pseudonym of Eritisco Pilenejo. Santes (or Xantes) Pagnino (Latin: Xanthus Pagninus) (1470–1541), also called Sante Pagnini or Santi Pagnini, was an Italian Dominican Order, Dominican friar, and one of the leading philologists and Biblical studies, Biblical scholars of his day. Biography Pagnino was born 1470 at Lucca, in Tuscany, central Italy. At sixteen he took the religious habit at Convent of San Domenico, Fiesole, San Domenico in Fiesole, where he studied under the direction of Savonarola and other eminent professors. In acquiring the Oriental languages, then cultivated at Florence, he displayed unwonted quicksightedness, ease and penetration. His genius, industry and erudition won him influential friends, among them the Cardinals de'Medici, subsequently popes Leo X and Clement VII. As a sacred orator his zeal and eloquence kept abreast with his erudition and were as fruitful. Summoned to Rome by Leo X, he taught at the recently-opened free school for Oriental languages until his patron's death (1521). ...
