Paderu Revenue Division
Paderu revenue division (or Paderu division) is an revenue division in the Alluri Sitharama Raju district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the three revenue divisions in the district which consists of eleven mandals under its administration. Paderu is the divisional headquarters. Paderu division is situated in the Eastern Ghats and is tribal-dominated. Administration There are 11 mandals under the administration of Paderu revenue division. They are: Demographics It has a population of 6,04,047. 576,026 is rural and 28,021 is urban. Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes make up 4,154 and 547,951 which is 0.69% and 90.71% of the population respectively. 97.35% of the population is Hindu while 1.50% of the population is Christian and 0.64% is Muslim. At the time of the 2011 census, 66.54% of the population spoke Telugu, 17.39% Odia, 11.12% Kuvi and 3.19% Konda as their first language. Konda Language (Dravidian)
Konda-Dora, also known simply as Konda or Kubi, is a Dravidian language spoken in India. It is spoken by the scheduled tribe of the Konda-Dora, who mostly live in the districts of Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, and East Godavari in Andhra Pradesh, and the Koraput district in Odisha. Konda-Dora is sometimes written in the Telugu and Odia scripts. A unique writing system was developed by Sathupati Prasanna Sree for use with the language. Most speakers of Konda have also learned Telugu because of economic pressures to be able to integrate into the larger economy and region. Classification Konda is classified as a Dravidian language, in the same family as Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Telugu, to name a few. Kuvi Language
Kuvi is a South-Central Dravidian language spoken in the Indian state of Odisha. The language is one of two spoken by the Kandhas, with the other being the closely related and more dominant Kui language. According to the 2011 Indian census, there are around 155,000 speakers. The orthography is the Odia script. The grammatical structure of this language is comparable to other similar languages such as Kui which all fall under the classification of a Dravidian language. Background information According to a study regarding population structure of tribal populations in central India, information was collected from the Koraput district of Odisha about the Kuvi Kandhas. Chinthapalli Mandal
Chintapalli is a major tourist and historic town and mandal in Alluri Sitharama Raju district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Every year lakhs of tourists from all over the country come here during the winter season. The temperature in this area often falls down to below 8 degrees Celsius.
