Padang Besar Railway Station
The Padang Besar railway station (''Stesen Keretapi Padang Besar'') is a railway station located at and named after the border town of Padang Besar, Perlis in Malaysia. It is the northernmost station of the west coast line where the line connects to the State Railway of Thailand's rail network via its Southern Line. Location and locality This station is located in Padang Besar, Perlis in Malaysia with distance only 200 metres from the actual border between Malaysia and Thailand. This station should not be confused with another station of Padang Besar (Thai) which is located on the Thailand side town of Padang Besar and fully operated by SRT. Despite being under Malaysian territory and mainly under Malaysia's Railway Asset Corporation and KTMB managements, this station is where the Malaysia and Thai railway services end and also meet, allowing for passengers to transfer between the two railway systems. Butterworth is the largest urban town in the city of Seberang Perai, Penang, Malaysia. The Malaysia–Thailand border divides the countries of Malaysia and Thailand and consists of a land boundary running for 595 km (370 mi) across the Malay Peninsula and maritime boundaries in the Straits of Malacca and the Gulf of Thailand/South China Sea. Hat Yai Junction is an international railway junction and a Class 1 railway station for the State Railway of Thailand in the center of Hat Yai City, Songkhla Province, Thailand. Gemas Railway Station
Gemas railway station is a Malaysian railway station located at the eastern side of and named after the town of Gemas, Tampin District, Negeri Sembilan. Built in 1922, the station is the meeting point of and the railway junction connecting the West Coast Line (Padang Besar–Singapore) with the East Coast Line (Tumpat–Gemas). As part of the Seremban–Gemas double tracking and electrification, the tracks were realigned and a new station building was built adjacent to the old station building. The old station building, platforms and a section of the railway tracks have been spared demolition and preserved.
