Pabama Transport
Pabama Corporation, also known as Pabama Tours, Pabama Transport and Pabama Transport and Tours Corporation, is a bus company based in Kibawe town, Bukidnon province in the island of Mindanao in southern Philippines. It serves the routes between the city of Cagayan de Oro, the province of Bukidnon and the city of Gingoog. A local provincial bus line with humble beginnings, it was the first bus company in the country to introduce the luxury bus with on-board tablets and the double-decker provincial bus. History The company was founded in 1998 as Pabama Transport by the Panis family based in Kibawe, Bukidnon. The name of the company was a portmanteau for "Panis Bag Maker" because prior to venturing the transport industry the family are already in the business of making and selling bags in Kibawe and nearby towns operating under such a name. Kibawe, officially the Municipality of Kibawe ( ceb, Lungsod sa Kibawe; tl, Bayan ng Kibawe), is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Bukidnon, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 41,897 people. History In the early days of the American regime, Kibawe was populated by a tribe of Mamadas people. The Mamadas people were nomadic by nature and subsisted on hunting and forest products. They maintained small plots of corn, camote and gabi in places where they built their temporary shelters. Double Decker Bus
A double-decker bus or double-deck bus is a bus that has two storeys or decks. They are used for mass transport in the United Kingdom, the United States, New Zealand, Europe, Asia and also in cities such as Sydney; the best-known example is the red London bus, namely the AEC Routemaster. Early double-deckers put the driver in a separate cab. Passenger access was via an open platform at the rear and a bus conductor collected fares. Modern double-deckers have a main entrance door at the front and the driver takes fares, thus halving the number of workers aboard, but slowing the boarding process.
