PFF Women's Cup
The PFF Women's Cup is the national women's football cup of the Philippines organized by the Philippine Football Federation. History The inaugural edition was launched in 2014 by the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) and was contested by 10 teams from June to July. The cup was played in a 9-a-side format with two halves of 25 minutes. The following teams participated at the inaugural 9-a-side edition with their division in the group stage: The following edition in 2015 was played in full 90 minutes with 11 field players on each team. 10 teams participated in the match mostly composed by University varsity and alumni teams. In 2016, the PFF Women's League was launched although the PFF would stop organizing the cup tournament. The PFF revived the PFF Women's Cup in late 2022, following two years of inactivity of the women's league due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The competition had eight teams. PFF Women's League
The PFF Women's League (PFFWL) is the top-flight of women's association football in the Philippines. History To follow up with the PFF Women's Cup which was launched in 2014, the PFF Women's League was launched on November 5, 2016, by the Philippine Football Federation (PFF). The competition became the first to follow a league format following the folding of the Pinay Futbol League in 2013 and became the first women's domestic league in the country. The league sanctioned by PFF as an amateur league as part of ''FIFA's Women's Development Project'' for the Philippines. Prior to the league's establishment, the primary competition for women's football in the Philippines was the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). Women's football in the Philippines started largely as an amateur sport. Its top tier league, the PFF Women's League, was largely composed of collegiate teams. The national team has competed in several editions of the AFC Women's Asian Cup. Carmona, officially the Municipality of Carmona ( tgl, Bayan ng Carmona), is a 1st class municipality located in the province of Cavite, Philippines. PFF National Training Center
The PFF National Training Center or the National Football Center is a football ground at the San Lazaro Leisure and Business Park in Carmona, Cavite. History Plans to construct a football facility in Carmona, Cavite were announced as early as June 2014. The Philippine Football Federation signed a lease agreement for rights to land occupying an area of to build a training center, initially known as the National Teams Training Center, to be built under the $500 thousand FIFA Goal Project 3. The groundbreaking ceremony for the facility located within the San Lazaro Leisure and Business Park of the Manila Jockey Club was held on 30 November 2014 and was led by then FIFA President Sepp Blatter. 2022 PFF Women's Cup
The 2022 PFF Women's Cup is the 3rd edition of the cup competition. This edition marks the return of competitive women's football in the Philippines, with the PFF Women's League last held in 2019–20. No women's tournament had been held since 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This also marks the return on the women's cup itself which was last held in 2015. The women's cup ran from November 5 to December 17, 2022. The Far Eastern University successfully defended their title by winning 2–0 over the University of the Philippines in the final. DLSU Lady Booters
The De La Salle Lady Booters are the varsity women's football team of the De La Salle University. They compete at the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), as well as at the PFF Women's League, the top flight domestic women's football league in the Philippines. PFF Women's League The collegiate squad was among the pioneer teams of the first season of the PFF Women's League which ran from 2016 to 2017. De La Salle was assured of the league title of the 2016-17 season after their first second round match against OutKast which ended in a 3–0 win. They were undefeated in that season garnering 13 wins or 39 points. Rizal Memorial Stadium
The Rizal Memorial Track and Football Stadium (simply known as the Rizal Memorial Stadium; officially the Simeon Toribio Track Stadium) is the main stadium of the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Manila, Philippines.
