PCC Rail Szczakowa
DB Cargo Polska (formerly DB Schenker Rail Polska and PCC Rail) is a Polish company operating mainly in rail freight transportation. It is presently owned by the German state railway company Deutsche Bahn (DB). The primary materials transported by the company have traditionally been coal, gas, oil products and sand. In 2008, the volume of freight handled by the company amounted to in excess of 90 million tons. History PCC Rail Szczakowa emerged from a local mining-transport company of the ''Sand Mine Szczakowa'' (Kopalnia Piasku Szczakowa), having operated as such for over 50 years. Zabrze (; German: 1915–1945: ''Hindenburg O.S.'', full form: ''Hindenburg in Oberschlesien'', Silesian: ''Zŏbrze'', yi, זאַבזשע, Zabzhe) is an industrial city in Silesia in southern Poland, near Katowice. The west district of the Silesian Metropolis, a metropolis with a population of around 2 million. It is in the Silesian Highlands, on the Bytomka River, a tributary of the Oder. Newag 311D
PKP Class ST40 is a new class of cargo diesel-electric locomotives used by the PKP LHS broad-gauge division and various Polish private operators, designated 311D (standard gauge) or 311Da (broad gauge) by its manufacturer, Newag. The class is a heavily reconstructed Russian M62 (PKP ST44), using only the underframe. The body is new, the main engine is a General Electric GE 7FDL12. Original engines were also modernised, as ED118 A GE. The class is much more economical and modern than a basic M62. The body has external walkways instead of an internal passage connecting the cabs. The first locomotive was modernised in 2007. ŁTZ TE109
The DR 130 family of locomotives comprises the DR Class 130 (''DBAG Class 230''), DR Class 131 (''DBAG Class 231''), DR Class 132 (''DBAG Class 232'' as well as Classes ''233'', ''234'' and ''241'' produced through modifications) and DR Class 142 (''DBAG Class 242''), in USSR locomotive called TE109 (DBAG 230/1/2) and TE129 (DBAG 242). They were produced in the Soviet Union in Luhansk, Ukraine from the 1970s onwards, and were imported into the GDR. After the reunification of Germany the Deutsche Bahn (DBAG) inherited them and continue to make use of them mainly as heavy freight locomotives. A technical specification for interoperability (abbreviated as TSI) is a text provided for in European Directive 2016/797 adopted by the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union on the interoperability of the European rail system in accordance with the ordinary legislative procedure. Siemens Vectron
The Vectron is a locomotive series made by Siemens Mobility, introduced at the 2010 InnoTrans trade fair in four prototype versions: diesel, multi-system, and both AC and DC electric power. The diesel version has been replaced in 2018 by a dual mode locomotive which is powered by electricity on electrified sections of the track and can be switched to diesel mode on non-electrified sections.
