PCB Triangular Twenty20 Women's Tournament
The PCB Women's Twenty20 Tournament, previously the National Triangular T20 Women's Cricket Championship, is a women's domestic Twenty20 competition organised by the Pakistan Cricket Board. The tournament first took place in 2019–20, with three teams taking part: PCB Blasters, PCB Challengers and PCB Dynamites. The tournament expanded to four teams in 2022–23, with the addition of PCB Strikers. The competition has run alongside the PCB Triangular One Day Women's Tournament. PCB Challengers won the first two editions of the competition, beating PCB Blasters in the final in 2019–20 and PCB Dynamites in the final in 2020–21. PCB Blasters won their first title in 2022–23, beating PCB Dynamites in the final. Pakistan Cricket Board
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is a sports governing body for cricket in Pakistan responsible for controlling and organising all tours and matches undertaken by the Pakistan national cricket team. A member of the International Cricket Council since 1952, it represents the country's men's and women's national teams in international cricket tournaments played under the ICC. Following the establishment of Pakistan as an independent dominion of the British Empire in 1947, professional and amateur cricket commenced in the same year, seeing as local infrastructure had already been established when the country was part of the British Raj. Cricket matches were arranged informally until 1948, when a Board of Control was formally instituted. 2021–22 Pakistan Women's One Day Cup
The 2021–22 Pakistan Women's One Day Cup was a 50-over women's cricket competition that took place in Pakistan in September 2021. It was the first edition of the competition under its new name, and saw the addition of a new team, PCB Strikers. All matches took place in Karachi, at the National Stadium and the Pakistan Cricket Board Academy Ground. PCB Challengers beat defending champions PCB Blasters in the final by 68 runs to claim their first one-day title. PCB Strikers beat PCB Dynamites in the third place play-off. Competition format The four teams played in a double round-robin group, playing each other team twice. National T20 Cup
The National T20 Cup is a men's professional domestic Twenty20 cricket competition in Pakistan. Established in 2005, it is one of the world's oldest Twenty20 cricket leagues. It was the principal T20 competition in the country until 2016, when the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise tournament was introduced. Since 2019–20, the National T20 Cup has been contested by six regional teams, having previously been contested mainly by teams representing the various city, district and area cricket associations. Ireland Women's Cricket Team In Pakistan In 2022–23
The Ireland women's cricket team toured Pakistan in November 2022 to play three Women's One Day Internationals (WODIs) and three Women's Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is). All of the matches were played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The WODI matches formed part of the 2022–2025 ICC Women's Championship. This was the first time that a senior Ireland national team has played a series in Pakistan. Going into the series, Pakistan held a record of 12 wins from 18 WODI matches against Ireland, and the last time the two sides met in the format was in February 2017.
